Migrants flowing across the southern border during the Biden administration have become a trickle under President Donald Trump, according to a new analysis of federal data.

Border Patrol had 237,538 encounters with migrants at the border during the 2025 fiscal year, according to a Pew Research report.

The federal fiscal year begins Oct. 1, which means that roughly four months of the Biden administration are included in the 2025 data.

The data showed a massive drop from full years when former President Joe Biden was in the White House.

Border Patrol racked up 1.5 million encounters in fiscal year 2024, topped 2 million encounters in fiscal year 2023, and had more than 2.2 million encounters in fiscal year 2022.

The 2025 total showed the fewest encounters since 1970.

When the Biden months were factored out of the data, the difference was even more stark.

Since February 2025, the Border Patrol has had fewer than 10,000 encounters per month at the southwestern border.

Those totals are even lower than during the COVID years, and are lower than data on record over the past 25 years.

September 2025 showed 8,386 encounters along the southwest border, an 84 percent drop from September 2024, according to a news release from the House Homeland Security Committee.

“Southwest border apprehensions are at the lowest level in half a century, and criminal cartels are running out of ways to line their pockets at our expense. Americans can thank President Trump’s proven border security policies for these results, from surging resources to the Southwest border to ending catch-and-release,” Chairman Andrew Garbarino, a Republican from New York, said.

“House Republicans made significant investments in the border barrier system, cutting-edge technology, and growing the CBP workforce, but those resources are only part of the picture. We must continue to build on these border security successes, ensure they last long into the future, and prevent abuse of our immigration system — like we saw under the Biden administration,” he added.

“For the last five months, we have continued to see the border numbers drop to historic lows. We are enabling our men and women of the CBP to do their jobs and keep our border secured,” Subcommittee on Border Security and Enforcement Chairman Michael Guest, a Republican from Mississippi, said.

“After four years of the Biden-Harris Administration’s disastrous open-border agenda and reckless catch-and-release policies, the American people are finally seeing a return to law and order at our southern border,” Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence Chairman August Pfluger, a Republican from Texas, added.

“Thanks to the strong leadership of the Trump Administration, our borders and our homeland are more secure today than they have been in years,” he said.

Democrats love to brag about a win, but their human Ponzi scheme might be nearing a collapse.

They cling to isolated election results like life rafts, using them to convince themselves and others that all is well.

Even as Democrats celebrated a surprise state special election victory in Texas over the weekend, a far less friendly reality surfaced on far-left CNN.

That reality check came from Harry Enten, the network’s chief data analyst, who advised his Democratic viewers against reading too much into that and other recent victories.

Such wins might be comforting but are misleading, as presidential election years are the ones that see the major turnout.

“In politics, we often lose sight of the long term because we’re so focused in on the short term,” Enten said Sunday, while homing in on population trends.

Those trends, he warned, should alarm Democrats and encourage Republicans because Americans are leaving blue states and moving to red ones.

Enten pointed out that the states experiencing the largest population gains since the 2020 Census are Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, and Arizona – all states that were carried by President Donald Trump in 2024.

At the same time, he noted what he described as a “blue state depression.”

That decline is driven mostly by residents fleeing Democratic strongholds like California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, and Massachusetts – all states carried by Kamala Harris.

Apparently, productive residents leave when taxes are suffocating, crime is tolerated, housing is unattainable, and leaders are openly hostile to the actual people funding the system.

Why would anyone stay in a place that treats them like a problem when there are alternatives?

A Californian can move to Texas or Florida and immediately stop paying higher taxes to support bloated bureaucracies and failed social experiments.

Voters in Minnesota and other “blue wall” states are reaching similar conclusions as they watch their leaders’ priorities in the post-COVID era.

And according to Enten, the consequences go well beyond state politics. He explained that if current population trends hold through 2030, Democrats would lose seven seats in the U.S. House due to reapportionment.

Republican states would gain seven.

Then Enten made a point Democrats don’t want to hear.

Applying current population estimates to the Electoral College — in which a state’s number of votes depends on its number of representatives in the House and Senate — he explained that the traditional Democratic strategy no longer works.

Even if Democrats carried their base states plus Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, that path would fall short.

Under those estimates, Democrats would reach only 263 electoral votes, which is below the 270 needed to win.

The “blue wall,” as Enten showed, is no longer enough.

Democrats might be crazy, but those at the top aren’t as stupid as the party’s street thugs and understand this.

That is why their reaction to Trump’s immigration enforcement is so hysterical. Their long-term strategy is set.

They want to continue to replace lost residents with immigrants. Legal or illegal, the key is ensuring they are all counted in the next Census at least once.

People with the means to leave blue states are doing so in large numbers, and so Democrats rely on incoming numbers to stave off a collapse.

Years of failed leadership are finally catching up with them, and like with any Ponzi scheme, they constantly need new capital invested to stay afloat.

In this case, the capital is foreign nationals, and as long as enough of them keep coming, Democrats can afford to write the check for those leaving.

A Democratic member of Congress who was caught texting Jeffrey Epstein during a House hearing has had even more connections to Epstein exposed in the latest Epstein files document dump.

According to a series of 2014 emails, which came several years after Epstein’s Florida conviction on sex crimes, Democratic Delegate from the U.S. Virgin Islands Stacey Plaskett arranged to visit Epstein’s island, according to political news outlet NOTUS.

“Will you be able to meet with Jeffrey on his island on Monday Aug. 18th at 11 am?” an Epstein assistant asked Plaskett.

Plaskett was noted in the files touching base with Epstein again in 2017.

Epstein assistant Lesley Groff scheduled a “phone date” between Epstein and Plaskett.

In 2016, Groff wrote Plaskett that “Jeffrey has tried for you a few times on your cell but has been unsuccessful” and urged her to call him.

“Thanks. Spoke with him,” Plaskett responded five minutes later.

The newly released files showed Plaskett contacting Epstein to secure campaign donations in 2017 and 2018.

In September 2018, Plaskett texted Epstein, writing, “I know you’re tremendously busy. Thanks so much for taking time and sharing ideas and thoughts. I appreciate your support and hope I’m not presumptuous to consider you a friend,” according to the New York Post.

“Privileged to be called friend [sic],” he replied.

On May 13, 2019, Epstein wished Plaskett a happy birthday. She asked how he knew the date.

“You told me when you were in my office,” Epstein replied. She then reponed to him that, “You’re good.”

Epstein replied, “No I’m bad, but I’m thoughtful.”

The Washington Post reported last year that during a February 2019 hearing, Epstein texted Plaskett, writing “Great outfit”

“You look great,” he texted at 10:22 a.m. “Thanks!” she said in reply.

The Post said one minute after Plaskett was on TV making chewing motions, Epstein asked her, “Are you chewing[?]”

“Not any more,” she replied. “Chewing interior of my mouth. Bad habit from middle school”

One minute after Plaskett finished questioning former Trump attorney Michael Cohen at the hearing, Epstein wrote her, saying, “Good work.”

In November, the House held a vote on censuring Plaskett, but it failed.

 “No one who turns to a convicted predator for input on how to conduct official business, especially in a congressional hearing, should sit on the Intelligence Committee or any committee, for that matter. This is about restoring trust in an institution that desperately needs it,” Republican Rep. Ralph Norman of South Carolina said in introducing his motion to censure Plaskett, according to Newsweek.

President Donald Trump announced on Monday that the United States and India reached a trade agreement, which will lower the tariff rate on goods coming into the U.S. to 18 percent.

In exchange, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has agreed that his country will stop buying Russian oil and will make a $500 billion investment in various U.S. industries and products.

CNN reported that the 18 percent tariff is down from 50 percent, which had included a 25 percent reciprocal tariff that Trump put in place in August to encourage India to stop buying Russian oil.

“It was an Honor to speak with Prime Minister Modi, of India, this morning,” Trump posted Monday on Truth Social. “He is one of my greatest friends and, a Powerful and Respected Leader of his Country. We spoke about many things, including Trade, and ending the War with Russia and Ukraine. He agreed to stop buying Russian Oil, and to buy much more from the United States and, potentially, Venezuela.”

The president argued that taking oil revenue away from Moscow will help end the Russia-Ukraine war sooner.

Trump continued, “Out of friendship and respect for Prime Minister Modi and, as per his request, effective immediately, we agreed to a Trade Deal between the United States and India, whereby the United States will charge a reduced Reciprocal Tariff, lowering it from 25% to 18%.”

“They will likewise move forward to reduce their Tariffs and Non Tariff Barriers against the United States, to ZERO. The Prime Minister also committed to ‘BUY AMERICAN,’ at a much higher level, in addition to over $500 BILLION DOLLARS of U.S. Energy, Technology, Agricultural, Coal, and many other products,” the president wrote.

CNN reported that India has been the second largest purchaser of Russian oil behind China, with Turkey a distant third.

In December 2025, China purchased 47 percent of Russia’s oil exports compared to India’s 38 percent. Turkey and the European Union bought at 6 percent each, according to the Center for Research on Energy and Clean Air.

There is a trade imbalance between the U.S. and India: the U.S. imported $95.5 billion in goods from India and exported $42 billion to India in 2025 as of November, according to the Census Bureau.

CNN noted, “Among the top goods the US imported from India last year are computers and other electronics, such as phones, pharmaceuticals, apparel and chemicals. Jewelry prices in the United States have risen in recent months in part because of tariffs on India. Meanwhile, India’s top imports from the US were oil, gas, airplanes and airplane parts.”

Amy Hariani, an international trade lawyer and adviser on U.S.–India commercial relations, said in an e-mail to Politico regarding the agreement, “The tariff reduction from 25% to 18% matters, but the bigger story is that two major democracies worked through real differences and chose economic alignment in a complex geopolitical environment.”

She added, “Credit is due to President Trump and Prime Minister Modi for providing political direction, and to officials like [U.S. Trade Representative] Jamieson Greer and their teams who tirelessly saw this through.”

The recent snow storm that overtook Texas reportedly crashed the state’s wind and solar energy generators, leading to natural gas, coal, and nuclear providing most of the state’s electricity.

Kerry Clapp, an online writer cited by meteorologist Ryan Maue, reported in his Substack last week that “renewable generation declined almost immediately” as the snow storm took over.

“Wind, solar, and batteries fell from briefly supplying ~63% of generation to ~7% within roughly 48 hours,” he wrote. “Battery storage played a negligible role, constrained by high prices and lack of surplus electricity.”

In conclusion, Clapp reported that “natural gas, coal, and nuclear carried the grid, covering both lost renewables and rising demand.”

According to David Blackmon, an energy-related public policy analyst and consultant, by the early morning hours of Jan. 26, natural gas, goal, and nuclear were providing 89 percent of all the state’s power.

“Natural gas alone is chugging along at an impressive 68%,” Blackmon reported online on Substack later that same day.

Politico similarly reported that the U.S. energy grid “leaned heavily on coal and natural gas generation to satisfy the energy appetite from Winter Storm Fern.”

Thanks to natural gas, coal, and nuclear energy, Texas experienced far fewer outages and deaths than it did during the winter storm of 2021.

“While ice accumulation and trees falling on lines did spur localized outages as temperatures plummeted in Texas from Jan. 23 through Jan. 28, they were repaired by local utilities and weren’t a result of grid issues,” the Chronicle confirmed.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott attributed this 180-degree reversal to the pro-energy policies his administration implemented after the 2021 storm.

“The grid has held once again, works absolutely flawlessly,” he said in a Jan. 26 radio interview, according to The Texas Tribune. “That is because of everything that we’ve done over the last five years.”

Abbott previously blamed the 2021 winter storm outages and deaths on his state’s prior over-reliance on renewable energy.

“Wind and solar got shut down,” he said in a 2021 Fox News interview, as reported by NPR. “They were collectively more than 10% of our power grid, and that thrust Texas into a situation where it was lacking power on a statewide basis.”

Blackmon also credited the new laws passed by the Abbott administration.

“The reforms enacted by the Texas legislature #txlege over the last three sessions are clearly working as intended,” he wrote.

NPR and virtually every other mainstream media outlet sought in 2021 to “debunk” Abbott by citing so-called experts, yet years later, it appears he’d been right all along.

Joe Rigney, a pastor who helped to launch Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, warned the nation that the protests at the congregation were a harbinger of a spiritual crisis for America as a whole.

Rigney, who now serves as an associate pastor for Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho, used to live in the Minneapolis area and was part of the team that planted Cities Church.

Earlier in January, the church gained nationwide attention after a left-wing mob — accusing one of the pastors of working for Immigration and Customs Enforcement — disrupted Sunday morning worship.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Rigney cautioned that there is “escalating violence on the left of normal Christian people, and I just want to underscore that piece of it,” per a transcript from The Christian Post.

According to Rigney, who was serving at Cities Church as recently as 2023, the congregation is not even marked by being overtly political.

“This is not a political church. These are normal, Bible-believing evangelicals,” he said.

“And instead, this political chaos intrudes in the middle of a worship service and disrupted.”

Rigney identified the issue as a cultural rot that can only be fixed with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

“They’re terrorizing normal, law-abiding citizens, and then they’re encouraging the lawless and the lawbreakers,” Rigney said about government authorities failing to punish evil.

“When you think about the last 20 years and the escalating collisions we’ve seen in our country — about, say, sex, sexuality, and people being harassed just because they won’t make a cake or because they won’t do flowers for a gay wedding — and you see that kind of escalating collision as Christians just try to live faithful lives,” Rigney said.

The two options for America, according to Rigney, are indeed “Christ or chaos.”

“And because of that, it’s bubbling up. It’s bubbling over, and it’s tragic. It really is tragic. And the only way out is for people to turn from their sins and to turn back to Christ. That’s the only hope this nation has. That’s the only hope for any of us.”

Rigney made note of the ways in which secular leftism are on a collision course with Christianity.

“When you think about the last 20 years and the escalating collisions we’ve seen in our country — about, say, sex, sexuality, and people being harassed just because they won’t make a cake or because they won’t do flowers for a gay wedding — and you see that kind of escalating collision as Christians just try to live faithful lives,” he added.

Justice Department officials have vowed to charge protesters who disrupted Cities Church services with violations of the FACE Act and federal civil rights laws.

Hypocrites rarely acknowledge, let alone repent of, their own hypocrisy.

Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania undoubtedly will prove no different.

According to NBC News, Shapiro said in an interview Tuesday that Vice President J.D. Vance deserves criticism for failing to use the specific words “Jews” and “Nazis” in a Holocaust Remembrance Day post on the social media platform X, prompting X users, including a member of President Donald Trump’s communications team, to remind Shapiro that his own words on the occasion hardly differed from the vice president’s.

“Part of never forgetting is making sure that the facts of what happened are recited, are remembered,” the governor said. “The fact that JD Vance couldn’t bring himself to [acknowledge] that 6 million Jews were killed by Hitler and by the Nazis speaks volumes.”

As it happens, only Shapiro’s hypocritical silliness “speaks volumes.”

“Today we remember the millions of lives lost during the Holocaust, the millions of stories of individual bravery and heroism, and one of the enduring lessons of one of the darkest chapters in human history: that while humans create beautiful things and are full of compassion, we’re also capable of unspeakable brutality. And we promise never again to go down the darkest path,” Vance wrote Tuesday on X.

But the vice president failed to mention Nazis by name? Four pictures of Vance and his wife, Usha, at what remains of Nazi Germany’s Dachau concentration camp accompanied the post. If Shapiro and his ilk wish to interpret that as obscuring the Nazis’ responsibility for the Holocaust, more power to them.

Meanwhile, the governor’s own words made the matter worse. White House Principal Deputy Communications Director Alex Pfeiffer brought receipts.

“Wow,” Pfeiffer wrote on X. “Josh Shapiro must be really offended by his statements issued this year and last year, neither of which mentioned ‘Jews.'”

Accompanying screenshots showed Shapiro’s X posts marking two recent Holocaust Remembrance Days.

On Tuesday, for instance, the governor authored a post that mentioned neither Jews nor Nazis (though it did mention “antisemitism”).

Likewise, on Apr. 24, Shapiro marked Yom HaShoah — Holocaust Remembrance Day on the Hebrew calendar — by mentioning Pennsylvania founder William Penn, but not Jews or Nazis.

William Penn did bring religious liberty to Pennsylvania. But did he merit mentioning ahead of Jews and Nazis on Holocaust Remembrance Day?

Sadly, one cannot escape the impression that all of this amounts to pre-2028 sparring.

“After he faced criticism for not mentioning Jews in his post on Holocaust Remembrance Day, Josh Shapiro desperately tried to shift blame to the Vice President,” a Vance spokesperson told Mary Margaret Olohan of The Daily Wire. “This is next level hypocritical deflection from Shapiro, a misguided plea for attention from a political lightweight.”

Of course, Shapiro’s status as a “political lightweight” remains untested on the national stage.

Nonetheless, if the governor manages to win the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination, he will have to do better than this.

For one thing, Shapiro will not defeat Vance — assuming the latter wins the GOP nomination — in a contest of words.

Moreover, presidential politics aside, Shapiro’s comments reeked of a hypocrisy sure to alienate voters.

Above all, let us hope that by 2028, whatever malignant forces have made the Holocaust a modern political issue will lose all relevance.

A contest to determine the most smug, contemptuous, repellent female Democrat would feature too many entrants to count.

Nonetheless, Dana Barrett, a Democrat serving as commissioner in Fulton County, Georgia, has made a case for herself.

In a video recorded Wednesday outside the Fulton County elections office and then posted to the social media platform X, Barrett tried desperately to evade independent journalist David Khait, who was asking her about cleaning up the state’s corrupted voter rolls.

“We went around Fulton County the last few weeks,” Khait said to the still-stationary commissioner. “And we see that people are currently registered to vote in places like empty lots, homeless shelters that closed 10 years ago. What would you do, if you become secretary of state, to address that?”

Earlier this month, according to the Georgia Recorder, Barrett recently announced her candidacy for Georgia secretary of state. In that position, of course, she would bear responsibility for overseeing the state’s elections.

One would imagine, therefore, that she might take an interest in fraudulent voter registrations.

Remember, though, Barrett is a Democrat.

“Look, I’m not gonna reply to conspiracy theories,” she said even before Khait finished his question.

Khait then explained that he and his associate had purchased the voter rolls for $45 and visited the locations. He even offered to accompany Barrett to those locations and verify the fraudulent registrations.

“I appreciate what you’re saying,” the smug commissioner replied, “[but] I’m not gonna respond to conspiracy theories.”

“How is that a conspiracy theory?” Khait asked. “It’s on active voter rolls.”

With a contorted face that showed a look of apparent contempt, Barrett then scurried away.

Incredibly, rather than give a simple answer, she signaled to a large man, who then acted as a bodyguard.

Khait maintained a respectful distance, but continued to pepper her with questions as he followed her to a different part of the parking lot.

“You can go there right now and see for yourself,” the journalist said. “Do you not care about that?”

“I think what you’re doing is extremely dangerous,” she finally replied moments later.

“Why is it dangerous?” he asked.

“’Cause you’re spreading conspiracy theories.”

A getaway vehicle then approached, but Barrett seemed discombobulated. First, she turned toward the vehicle, then kept walking, then turned and got into the vehicle.

All of this transpired on the same day the FBI raided the Fulton County Elections Hub & Operations Center. The raid occurred as part of an investigation into the highly controversial 2020 election.

If readers had a visceral reaction to Barrett’s behavior — her dismissive attitude, the contorted look of disgust on her face, her signaling for a large man to protect her from questions — it is because you cannot imagine anyone you respect behaving the same way.

Imagine, for instance, President Donald Trump’s response to similar questions.

“Well, I don’t know. I hadn’t heard that,” the president might say. “But we’ll look into it.”

But Barrett could not muster even that simple reply. And we know why: She has contempt for the lowly journalist who dared ask her about election integrity.

So she made herself look stupid, much like suspected embezzler Traci Kornak, former treasurer of the Michigan Democratic Party, who gave us all a good laugh at her expense earlier this month when she wandered around a building, in and out of doors, searching in vain for a way to escape reporter Charlie LeDuff.

In the end, most women in the Democratic Party suffer the same fate. They cannot hide their haughty contempt long enough to maintain composure and avoid looking foolish.

Olympic sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson tried to talk fast after being caught driving fast, but she got nowhere fast except jail.

Richardson was stopped after an Orange County, Florida, sheriff’s deputy said she was driving at 104 mph on a Florida highway, according to WFTV.

The interplay between the Paris 2024 gold medalist and the deputy who stopped her was recorded by the deputy’s bodycam.

“I’d wipe that smile off your face,” the deputy advised, adding that Richardson was “stopped for dangerous, excessive speeding,” according to TMZ.

“You’re driving at 104 miles per hour in a 65 miles per hour zone, with subpar equipment, flashing people to get out of your way, following too close, using every lane to pass everybody, cutting me off, passing a car on the inside shoulder with their hazard lights on, you’re going to jail for dangerous excessive speeding,” he said.

That litany of offenses triggered a bout of begging from Richardson.

“I really want to work with you, sir. I am a law-abiding citizen,” she said. “Sir, please don’t allow me to go to jail. Please. Please, sir.”

The words kept flowing.

“Please, sir. I’m begging you. Don’t take me to jail. I will do everything. My tire, I cannot go to jail. I promise you, I don’t want to go to jail. I’m right here. I have a team here. I have a coach, everything. I was not intentionally doing anything.”

But Sgt. Gerald McDaniels did not budge — not even when she claimed an under-inflated rear tire was to blame, according to the New York Post.

Then came the claim that the car sped up because her phone slipped, changing the car’s setting and triggering its sprint.

At one point, Richardson said she did not even know her car was speeding, only to be told “that’s why they give you a speedometer,” according to Fox News.

Olympic sprinter Christian Coleman, Richardson’s boyfriend, showed up and was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer without violence, the New York Post reported.

Fellow Team USA sprinter Twanisha Terry was ticketed for stopping on a limited-access highway when she arrived demanding to know what was taking place.

As noted by WFTV, Florida’s so-called “super speeder” law, which took effect in July 2025, allows police to jail anyone who drives over 100 mph or 50 mph over the limit.

The New York Post noted that Richardson and Coleman were each jailed and then freed on a $500 bond apiece.

Don Lemon was arrested by federal agents late Thursday night, and the reaction from the media class has been far more revealing than the arrest itself.

Lemon landed himself in custody after storming into a church in Minnesota earlier this month with other leftists and demanding answers from congregants and pastors.

In what universe is that rational behavior?

Lemon has never been an especially serious or honest figure, so the stunt itself was not surprising.

What was predictable was how the corporate media rushed to his defense.

The reaction to Lemon’s arrest reminds us to see modern journalism for what it is, which is a closed echo chamber fueled by delusion and self-importance.

Traditional reporters no longer see themselves as accountable to the public or even to basic standards of behavior. That’s because they think everyone else is stupid and below them.

They live their lives primarily to impress one another.

In practice, that often means performing outrage for social media and competing for approval from the same small circle of colleagues.

It is a sad, weird ecosystem.

I have worked with enough of these people to know how it functions. Journalism today resembles Washington politics in that way.

Elected officials quickly learn they are rewarded for pleasing each other, not voters. “Journalists” do the same thing, just without the power or prestige.

The pay is not even impressive. Many sell their souls for less than six figures a year and truly believe they are important figures with profound insight.

The reactions to Lemon’s arrest illustrate the problem clearly.

Former CNN personality Jim Acosta rushed to X to declare the arrest “outrageous” and claimed the First Amendment was under attack.

What is so outrageous about Don Lemon being arrested? That is the obvious question.

Acosta is so deep inside the echo chamber that he cannot see blatant misconduct when it is committed by a friend.

CNN’s Brian Stelter also appeared deeply upset by the arrest, which is usually a sign that something was done correctly.

Former ESPN host and frequent CNN panelist Jemele Hill joined in, writing that Lemon’s arrest “cannot stand,” regardless of political beliefs.

Former President Barack Obama’s speechwriter Jon Favreau went even further, openly fantasizing about retaliation when Democrats regain power — as if the Biden administration did not weaponize the justice system.

Meanwhile, reality carries on without these and other weirdos.

A federal grand jury indicted Lemon in connection with the incident. He was not “disappeared” by President Donald Trump.

Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed the arrest on X, stating it was carried out “in connection with the coordinated attack on Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota.”

No one is above the law, a phrase the media repeats endlessly until it applies to one of their own.

The only real downside is that Lemon is likely enjoying every minute of all of this. With his career stalled, he now gets to posture as a martyr.

The media is predictably helping him play the role.

It is strange to watch, but then again, so is modern journalism itself. These people believe they are the most important voices in every room.

It’s likely they imagine themselves starring in an episode of “The West Wing,” when most Americans barely notice them at all until they show their stripes.

They exist in a bubble of shared narratives, mutual praise, and selective outrage.

And yes, it is fair to say many of them are just plain weird.

Not quirky or eccentric, but out of touch with reality.

Only corrupted values or grandiose delusions would lead someone with a good education to storm a church and believe it made him the hero. Only other deluded people would agree.

Minnesota’s leading corrupt Democrats will have more than a month to get their stories straight.

In the meantime, conservatives must keep that state’s shocking social services fraud scandal in the headlines.

According to a news release from Republican Rep. James Comer of Kentucky, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Democratic Gov. Tim Walz and Democratic Attorney General Keith Ellison, both of Minnesota, have agreed to testify before the committee on March 4.

“Americans deserve answers about the rampant misuse of taxpayer dollars in Minnesota’s social services programs that occurred on Governor Walz’s and Attorney General Ellison’s watch,” the release read. “The House Oversight Committee recently heard sworn testimony from Minnesota state lawmakers who stated that Governor Walz and Attorney General Ellison failed to act to stop this widespread fraud and retaliated against whistleblowers who raised concerns.”

Comer added that the questioning would “ensure transparency and accountability for the American people.”

The press release also noted that the two Minnesota Democrats’ testimony will support the committee’s ongoing investigation into “extensive money laundering and fraud in Minnesota’s social services programs,” detailed at length last month on the social media platform X by independent journalist Nick Shirley and “uncovered by the U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota.”

Like other independent journalists, Shirley risked his personal safety to expose the scandal, a large portion of which reportedly involved members of the state’s Somali immigrant community.

The revelation of that scandal triggered a surge into Minneapolis by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

Minnesota anti-ICE activists responded to the surge by doing everything in their power to physically impede ICE operations. One such activist, 37-year-old Renee Good, lost her life on Jan. 7 while trying to ram an ICE agent with her vehicle.

Rather than encourage state residents to respect federal law, however, Walz and Democratic Mayor Jacob Frey of Minneapolis adopted bellicose rhetoric, as if they wanted confrontation.

Things got worse.

The next (and arguably most grotesque) anti-ICE incident occurred on Jan. 18, when a group of leftist agitators, including pseudo-journalist Don Lemon, invaded Cities Church in St. Paul, disrupted services, and harassed worshipers.

After that invasion, Ellison appeared on Lemon’s podcast. There, the attorney general spoke approvingly of both the protest and Lemon’s presence.

On Jan. 24, with tensions peaking, 37-year-old anti-ICE activist Alex Pretti died in a scuffle with ICE. Democrats, of course, tried to turn Pretti into their latest peace-loving martyr. Video released this week, however, showed the rage-filled Pretti attacking ICE agents in a prior incident.

One may hope, therefore, that testimony from Walz and Ellison leads to the accountability Comer promised.

After all, one senses that Minnesota has endured month-long violence because Democrat leaders want to distract from the fraud scandal.

With that in mind, we must do everything possible to keep that scandal in the news cycle.

Bill and Hillary Clinton’s fate for ignoring congressional subpoenas is now in the hands of the House of Representatives.

House Republican leaders plan to vote this coming Wednesday on contempt of Congress resolutions against the former first couple, who refused to answer subpoenas by the House Oversight Committee regarding their dealings with disgraced financier and serial sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

“The Rules Committee will meet at 4 p.m. Monday to consider the resolutions for the floor,” Politico reported Thursday.

Several Democrats on the Oversight Committee joined with the Republicans to support advancing the resolutions to the House floor — particularly regarding the former president, who used Epstein’s infamous “Lolita Express” private jet for a philanthropic tour of Asia and Africa after his presidency.

Nine Democrats joined all the Republicans on the committee in advancing the resolution via a 34-9 vote. They included:

• California Rep. Lateefah Simon
• Florida Rep. Maxwell Frost
• Illinois Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi
• Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley
• Massachusetts Rep. Stephen Lynch
• Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib
• New Mexico Rep. Melanie Stansbury
• Pennsylvania Rep. Summer Lee
• Washington Rep. Emily Randall

Reps. Lee, Stansbury, and Tlaib also joined with Republicans’ contempt of Congress resolution against Hillary.

Several Democrats voted “present” as well — which is, TL;DR, a congressional way to say “I’m here but I’m too cowardly to vote either way.” One of them was California Rep. Dave Min, who voted “present” for holding Bill in contempt of Congress because — get ready to laugh — “what we’re proposing here is a very serious matter: bringing criminal charges against a former president of the United States.”

Yeah, imagine that.

Last year, the Clintons were issued subpoenas to appear earlier this month before the committee, but blew them off and had their attorneys call the actions “invalid and legally unenforceable.”

Their counter-offer — which House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer, a Kentucky Republican, rightly called “insulting” — was to meet with Comer in New York with no transcript of the encounter.

“The committee does not take this action lightly. Subpoenas are not mere suggestions,” Comer said.

“[Subpoenas] carry the force of law and require compliance. Former President Clinton and Secretary Clinton were legally required to appear for depositions before this committee.”

And, Newsmax reported, Comer “expects Attorney General Pam Bondi to act in holding the Clintons accountable, the same way the Biden administration’s DOJ acted in prosecuting Trump adviser Peter Navarro and strategist Steve Bannon for defying congressional subpoenas.”

That means time in prison, which both of them served for not appearing before the kangaroo Jan. 6 committee. The Oversight Committee, which is actually bipartisan, actually serves a purpose, and is actually looking in on the crimes of one of the most notorious and noxious criminals of the 21st century, cannot and should not be so easily ignored, particularly by a former first couple which was associated with him.

Will the House do its job and act with the same bipartisanship the Oversight Committee did? Or will it dither like Rep. Min did and pretend that something like this has never happened before? (Except, of course, when it happened to President Donald Trump and those around him.)

Get your popcorn ready, folks. It promises to be an interesting week, particularly with up to a $100,000 fine and a year behind bars if the Clintons are convicted.

A nationwide raid on the Latin Kings gang has resulted in about 50 arrests, FBI Director Kash Patel announced Friday.

The three-month multi-state operation was named “Operation Broken Crown,” according to Fox News.

More than a dozen FBI field offices partnered with federal, state, local, and tribal agencies, the FBI said.

The FBI added that more than $200,000 and more than 10 kilograms of illegal drugs were seized.

The operation, which began in October, has also seized more than a dozen guns.

“Under President Trump’s and Attorney General Bondi’s leadership, this FBI is dismantling violent gang networks in America at a record clip — breaking their operations and saving lives in the process,” Patel said.

“In 2025 we saw a 210 percent increase in gang takedowns from MS-13 and Tren de Aragua, and now just weeks into 2026, we’re announcing another three-month takedown operation,” he continued.

Patel said the FBI “will continue working 24/7 to crush violent crime and eliminate networks facilitating harm on the American people.”

Earlier this month, a Latin Kings gang member was arrested in connection with the theft of federal government property in Minneapolis.

Raul Gutierrez, 33, was arrested by the Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, according to Fox News.

White House border czar Tom Homan said Thursday that the suspect “is now wearing a set of handcuffs in custody,” and said more arrests will take place.

“Others are coming,” he said. “They’re gonna be held accountable.”

Separately, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has swept up gang members in its Minnesota crackdown on illegal immigrants.

“We’ve arrested over 2,500 criminal illegal aliens in Minnesota since starting this operation with DHS,” ICE Director Todd Lyons said in a news release. “We’re picking up the worst of the worst offenders, and as these cases come in, we’re finding that a significant number of the aliens we arrest — in addition to having serious criminal histories in the U.S. and abroad — are part of dangerous gangs that terrorize communities all over the nation.”

Through the centuries, many Christians have made the mistake of trying to guess the exact date of the Parousia. I will avoid that error. Christ’s Second Coming will arrive in God’s good time.

I will, however, propose that the Antichrist may already have walked among us for decades.

In an op-ed titled “MAGA’s War on Empathy,” published Thursday by The Atlantic, former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton — yes, Hillary Clinton, of all people — opined on what she regarded as the abandonment of Christian principles by Christian leaders, only to discover that those same Christian leaders regard her disapproval as a badge of honor, including one Christian leader’s friend who, on the social media platform X, declared, “I’ve never been more proud of my guy.”

Anyone who suffers through Clinton’s op-ed will come away deeply impressed by its lack of substance. At its core lies a tired liberal refrain: we (liberals) are good, and they — President Donald Trump and his supporters — are not. Clinton has done little more than echo that refrain by using her (misapplied) concept of empathy.

Citing recent violent protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Minneapolis, Minnesota — in the first paragraph, she even mentioned 37-year-old anti-ICE activist Alex Pretti, killed on Saturday during a confrontation with federal agents — Clinton built a particularly weak straw man (MAGA hates empathy) to compose a piece littered with ad hominem attacks.

“This crisis also reveals a deeper moral rot at the heart of Trump’s MAGA movement,” she wrote. “Whatever you think about immigration policy, how can a person of conscience justify the lack of compassion and empathy for the victims in Minnesota, and for the families torn apart or hiding in fear, for the children separated from their parents or afraid to go to school?”

Trump, of course, has done exactly the opposite. In fact, he has shown compassion both for Pretti and for 37-year-old Renee Good, who also lost her life earlier this month after attempting to obstruct an ICE operation.

Those facts, however, did not stop Clinton from attacking the president and his supporters, including prominent Christian voices.

First, she attacked pastor Ben Garrett for failing to endorse open borders and affirm LGBT lifestyles.

Then, she took Christian podcaster and author Allie Beth Stuckey to task for Stuckey’s concept of “toxic empathy.” Stuckey even wrote a 2024 book by that title: “Toxic Empathy: How Progressives Exploit Christian Compassion.”

“Leadership and the Sin of Empathy,” a book by “extremist pastor” Joe Rigney, also incurred Clinton’s wrath. Rigney, too, has committed the sin — in Clinton’s eyes — of being “an ally of the influential Christian nationalist Douglas Wilson.”

Stuckey, Rigney, and Wilson responded directly on X. Stuckey and Rigney expressed gratitude that someone as vile as Clinton had singled them out for disapprobation.

Meanwhile, Wilson joked about the number of people in Clinton’s orbit who have died mysterious deaths.

As it now appears that Hillary is aware of my existence, and is not exactly a fan, I wanted to state on the record that I am feeling upbeat, and am not downcast or depressed in any way.

Brian Sauvé, a self-described friend of Ben Garrett, wrote that he has “never been more proud of my guy.”

In other words, those Christian leaders would think of themselves as lost souls if they ever earned Clinton’s approval.

What lessons, therefore, might we draw from Clinton’s eyebrow-raising op-ed?

First, her premise has already fallen into obsolescence. A new video, released this week, has exposed Pretti not as an innocent victim but as a raging anti-ICE lunatic.

Second, Stuckey and Rigney had it right — and Clinton wrong — about the nature of empathy. Compassion, of course, is a good thing. But liberals always direct their concerns toward inappropriate objects. They show empathy for criminals, not victims, for illegal immigrants, not American citizens. And they work their foot soldiers into a frenzy so as to foment riots on behalf of the unworthy. What Clinton calls “empathy,” we call “emotional manipulation.”

Finally, and above all, the sight of Clinton opining on the meaning of Christianity convinces me that there is at least a five percent chance that she is the Antichrist (Readers may read into that comment whatever degree of hyperbole they deem accurate).

For one thing, one always cringes when an abortion supporter presumes to lecture others about the Word of Life.

But one may detect Clinton’s actual hostility to Christianity in multiple sources. She has, for instance, said derogatory things about it in interviews as recently as last year.

The strongest piece of evidence pointing to Clinton as a phony Christian, however, comes from her endorsement of Eric Hoffer’s “The True Believer: Thoughts on the Nature of Mass Movements.”

In that book, Hoffer argued that the substance or purpose of mass movements makes no difference. What matters is that the “true believer,” often for psychological or socio-economic reasons, wishes to lose himself or herself in a transcendent cause. To support his thesis, Hoffer analyzed fascism, communism, and … early Christianity.

During the 2016 campaign, according to the Washington Post, Clinton recommended “The True Believer” to her senior staff. She thought it would help them understand Trump’s appeal.

In the end, of course, only God knows our hearts. But Clinton posing as an authority on Christianity sure does give the impression of supernatural deception.

Maybe CNN’s Ana Navarro should not have been so quick to offer a glowing assessment of Alex Pretti as the “perfect guy.”

Pretti, 37, was shot and killed by Border Patrol agents Saturday during a skirmish in Minneapolis. He was reportedly armed at the time.

While appearing on “NewsNight with Abby Phillip” Tuesday, Navarro said, “This is like the perfect guy. Alex Pretti — the guy you’d want to date your daughter. The guy you want your son to grow up to be. A decent human being who was serving humanity, serving sick veterans. There’s nothing that has been said about that man that isn’t wonderful.

“So they can’t malign him. They can’t malign him, because we have the videos,” she added.

Navarro was referring to videos from the Saturday shooting incident, where it was not clear Pretti had brandished a gun before being shot, as officials first stated. A report by the Department of Homeland Security later concluded that two officers reportedly fired on Pretti, 37, after one yelled, “He’s got a gun!”

However, new videos surfaced on Tuesday, showing Pretti in a violent confrontation with federal agents more than a week before his death.

The footage from Jan. 13 showed Pretti, again reportedly armed, screaming at federal agents, “Assault me, motherf***er!” As one officer got into his vehicle, Pretti spat at him. He then kicked the SUV’s taillight multiple times, causing it to break off.

Agents responded by getting out of their vehicles, grabbing Pretti, and pushing him to the ground. However, they ultimately let him go.

This is the “perfect guy” Navarro wants her daughter to date? An unhinged man commiting crimes against federal officers, screaming all kinds of profanity?

NewsNation host Katie Pavlich, who is a strong proponent of the Second Amendment, posted on X in response to the Jan. 13 incident, “You have a right to carry a firearm and peacefully protest. You do not have a right to carry a firearm and commit crimes.”

The crimes she was referring to were ostensibly attacking federal officers and damaging government property.

USA Today reported that Pretti was an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs hospital, which is certainly an admirable profession.

But he clearly allowed his emotions to take over, multiple times, in violent acts against federal agents just trying to do their jobs.

The day he was killed, video showed agents responding to Pretti as he violently pulled at a woman in the middle of the street. Who knows what his intentions were? Did he think he was helping her? The agents seemed to be focused on his conduct, not hers.

Regardless, Navarro needs to recalibrate how she judges people. Pretti was not a “perfect guy,” and he was not someone most normal people would want their daughter to date.
