Scott Jennings of CNN recently spoke at the Texas Public Policy Foundation Summit and gave a speech that deserves attention.

He begins by saying that he wants to tell you ‘something that you must understand about the left’ and then launches into some basic truths that must be repeated.

He talks about the left’s basic world view, the way they look at America, and then transitions seamlessly into the subject of Charlie Kirk.

“Here’s something that you must understand about the left,” Jennings said. “They hate success. They hate it when people make it on their own. They hate it when you don’t need them.”

“Think about what they teach our kids. That America was founded on racism. That our country is rotten at its core. That capitalism is evil. That hard work is for suckers. That merit is a dirty word. That the nuclear family is oppressive, especially to women. That faith is for idiots and rubes for people who are from Kentucky and Texas,” he continued. “They run people for the United States Senate who think there are six genders. And that we can solve the climate crisis by taking away all of your bacon. Is it any wonder that Charlie spent his life on college campuses trying to reach young people? He saw what was happening.”

“I think when that shooter pulled the trigger and killed my friend in Utah, he thought he was ending a movement,” Jennings said. “He thought if he killed Charlie Kirk, he could kill what Charlie stood for. That the rest of us would get the message. That we would heed the warning. Silence yourselves, or we will do it for you. I think that’s what he thought. Certainly, what the people who cheered on the assassination thought. And make no mistake, there were thousands who cheered it on.”

“But in trying to silence one voice, I think they created thousands,” he said. “In trying to end a conversation that day, I think they started millions. And that is the thing we learned about faith and freedom. You can’t kill them. You can try to suppress it, and you can try to silence it. But it always finds a way. Like water finding cracks in a dam.”

Today on CSPAN, former house speaker Nancy Pelosi was asked if she or other Democrats had any advanced knowledge of Eric Swalwell’s behavior or the things he has been accused of.

The host framed it as an accusation that Republicans are making, rather than pointing out that people all over the country are now admitting that Swalwell’s issues were an open secret for years.

Pelosi denied the whole thing, saying it is “absolutely not true.”

Pelosi’s comments are in direct conflict with a new report from ABC 7 in California (emphasis is ours):

U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell has suspended his campaign for California governor following sexual assault allegations, announcing the decision Sunday as scrutiny intensified around the Democratic primary race.

In a statement, Swalwell said he would step aside to address the claims.

“To my family, staff, friends, and supporters, I am deeply sorry for mistakes in judgment I’ve made in my past. I will fight the serious, false allegations that have been made – but that’s my fight, not a campaign’s.”

The suspension immediately reshaped a closely watched contest in which Swalwell had held a narrow lead among Democrats.

Criticism of Swalwell has circulated in Washington for years, according to former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who spoke on ABC’s “This Week.”

“Every member in Congress knows not to let any young staffer around Swalwell or Matt Gaetz, it’s not a secret there,” McCarthy said.

Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown said the allegations were not unexpected, citing longstanding talk among Democratic leaders.

“No, I’m not surprised frankly because there have been rumors after rumors after rumors, his colleague in Washington pretty much said that. That’s what Adam Schiff said, that’s what Nancy Pelosi said,” Brown said.

Of course, Nancy Pelosi would never lie, would she?

Tom Friedman of the New York Times just admitted something that is true about countless people in media and Democrats. They do not want the effort in Iran to succeed because they simply don’t want it to be a win for Trump.

At least Friedman was honest enough to come right out and say it.

And nothing would improve the region more than the replacement of this regime in Iran with one was focused on enabling its people to realize their full potential and integrating peacefully with other countries and stop occupying Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen.

So I’m all for that. The problem is I really don’t want to see Bibi Netanyahu or Donald Trump politically strengthened by this war because they are two awful human beings. They are both engaged in anti- democratic projects in their own countries. They’re both alleged crooks. They are terrible, terrible people doing terrible things to America’s standing in the world and Israel standing in the world.

And so I really find myself torn. I want to see Iran militarily defeated, but I do not want to see these two terrible people strengthened.

This is amazing when you consider the fact that people are coming out of the woodwork now, claiming that Swalwell’s behavior has been an open secret among Democrats and the media for years.

And by the way, don’t his victims who have come forward deserve more credit than the media?

CNN’s chief media analyst is applauding the mainstream media for exposing sexual misconduct allegations against the top Democratic candidate for California governor, including an alleged rape, and now faces the wrath of online critics.

California Rep. Eric Swalwell had a tenuous lead above the other Democrats, but he has suspended his campaign in the wake of allegations of sexual assault from a former staffer and accusations from others about sexual misconduct. He has denied the claims.

On Monday, Brian Stelter of CNN said the report was a victory for journalism while ignoring that many had looked the other way for a decade about rumors of the allegations.

Stelter said it was a “testament to the power of investigative reporting” and credited CNN and the Chronicle for ending Swalwell’s gubernatorial hopes.

Like so many other liberals in media, Bill Maher is already set to declare defeat on Iran. They just can’t stand the idea of any success when it comes to Trump.

During Maher’s show on Friday night, he suggested that we should just cut and run, then going on to say that’s what we have always done.

When Maher was finished talking however, British conservative commentator Douglas Murray had a chance to speak and he took Maher’s argument apart with ease.

“It’s been an incredibly successful operation in lots of ways.”

“Supreme leader dead, Iranian air force destroyed, nuclear sites attacked again.”

“The Navy of Iranian Revolutionary government at the bottom of the ocean.”

“These are not small things.”

“It’s not the case that the Iranian Revolutionary government has come out of this well.”

“I know that some people are wanting to say that after four to six weeks of war, this is some kind of loss for America.”

“It isn’t.”

“It’s an amazing strategic success but everyone wants to know what the out is.”

Republicans, members of the Trump administration, and the general public should point and laugh at these people. Ridicule them harshly until they wander away in defeat.

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) on Friday pressed the White House physician for a full evaluation of President Trump’s cognitive abilities.

In a letter to Sean Barbabella, a Navy captain serving as Trump’s official doctor, Raskin argued that Trump’s words and actions in recent months — particularly those surrounding the Iran war — have raised enough questions about the president’s mental acuity to merit a “comprehensive cognitive assessment.” Raskin wants the results shared publicly.

“Experts have repeatedly warned that the President has been exhibiting signs consistent with dementia and cognitive decline. And, in recent days, the country has watched President Trump’s public statements and outbursts turn increasingly incoherent, volatile, profane, deranged, and threatening,” wrote Raskin, the senior Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee.

“His apparently deteriorating condition has caused tremendous alarm across the nation (and political spectrum) about the President’s cognitive function and continuing mental fitness for the office of President, and prompted concerns about the President’s wellbeing.”

These people have no shame whatsoever.

Have you been surprised by the liberal media’s willingness to report on all of the explosive developments in the scandal surrounding Rep. Eric Swalwell?

He is, after all, the top Democrat candidate in the race for governor of California. Why would the liberal media report all of this news instead of trying to downplay it?

More specifically, it is about trying to make sure that the job of governor of California remains under Democrat control.

The upcoming June 2 California gubernatorial primary is not like other primaries. Instead of one Democrat primary winner and one Republican primary winner facing off in the general election, the top two vote-getters advance to the general election… regardless of party. Now go and look at the polls. As you can see, there’s a very real chance two Republicans could win the primary, which would ensure a Republican becomes governor of California.

The media and Democrats cannot allow that possibility, so it’s been decided that Swalwell must be sacrificed. His sacrifice will break the three-way tie between the three top Democrats — Swalwell, Katie Porter, and Tom Steyer — and once Swalwell’s 15 percent support moves to the other two, one or both is certain to go on to compete in the general election, which practically ensures Democrats hold onto California’s governor’s seat.

You see, if Swalwell were polling at 30 percent instead of his current 15 percent, the media cover-up of these allegations would continue because no one would be sweating a Republican sneaking into victory.

That’s it in a nutshell.

The liberal media did not suddenly grow a conscience. They are the same partisan hacks they have always been.

They want Swalwell out of the way so that the Democrats can win. He is being sacrificed for the greater good.

Graham Platner, the far left Democrat running for a U.S. Senate seat in Maine recently appeared on CBS News and appeared to blame his Nazi tattoo and other internet-related controversies on the culture of the United States Military.

Journalist Major Garrett, who amazingly used to work for FOX News, bends over backwards to try to help Platner through this segment, asking him nicely if there are things other than PTSD which might be to blame for his many controversial remarks on Reddit and other sites.

Even in their tweet about this story, CBS News says that Platner’s tattoo ‘resembled’ a Nazi symbol, which is incorrect:

It’s the same thing we have seen in California and other states that have been run exclusively by Democrats for years. This is what one-party rule gets you.

Business leaders in the state are finally starting to sound the alarm. Is it already too late?

Hundreds of Colorado business leaders call for action as nearly 100 companies leave the state

Colorado is losing businesses and jobs at an alarming rate.

Now, the ones who’ve stuck around are calling on state leaders to make changes before things get even worse.

The Colorado Chamber of Commerce has been sounding an alarm for years about excessive regulation and, last year, more people moved out of Colorado than into the state.

The chamber says companies are also relocating out-of-state. It released data showing, since 2019, 98 companies have either left the state, expanded elsewhere, or scrapped plans to move here.

That’s resulted in more than 13,000 lost jobs.

Since 2022, Colorado has also had a net loss of 34 public company headquarters. Some of the states seeing gains from Colorado’s losses included Texas, California and North Carolina.

More than 200 business and civic leaders signed a letter to Gov. Jared Polis, Sen. John Hickenlooper, Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, and Democratic gubernatorial candidates Michael Bennet and Phil Weiser. It warns of dire consequences if Colorado doesn’t become a more welcoming place for job creators.

“We are going to be hurting Colordans not just now, but the next generation, the next generation after that. And we just want to course correct,” said tech entrepreneur and investor Dan Caruso.

It wasn’t always like this.

This is part of a broader media pattern we are witnessing right now. Liberals in media want the operation in Iran to fail because they want Trump to fail. Once again, they hate Trump more than they love the country.

We haven’t heard much lately from James Talarico, the Texas Democrat running for a U.S. Senate seat in November. Perhaps he has been trying to keep a low profile. Every time this guy turns around, a bizarre new video or audio clip of him surfaces somewhere highlighting his utterly bonkers view of Christianity.

Now there is another one.

In this case, Talarico says that having police in schools fuels a culture of violence. This goes directly to the idiotic Democrat idea of defunding the police.

Also, why would anyone object to having more police in schools? It could save lives.

Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico is pushing back on the idea that he supports defunding the police, calling it a “flat-out lie.”

Republicans are confronting Talarico with resurfaced comments from a 2019 episode of the Trey Blocker Show, in which he suggests that a heavy police presence in schools without sufficient mental health professionals contributes to a “culture of violence.”

Democrats believe they have a shot at flipping the critical Senate seat blue for the first time in decades. But the GOP hopes to defend its Senate majority by highlighting Talarico’s more controversial stances to undermine his moderate appeal.

The latest to be unearthed is from the 2019 interview, in which Talarico decried plans to increase police officer presence in schools without also placing more emphasis on mental health.

“We’re all concerned about school safety and recent school shootings, and that concern, in some ways, has been channeled unproductively toward militarizing schools and toward kind of leaning into a culture of violence and adding more law enforcement officials into campuses,” he posited.

As a solution, Talarico, a former middle school teacher, touted the first bill he introduced as a member of the Texas House of Representatives, which would have mandated a set ratio of mental health workers for every police officer placed in a school.

Last night on the Gutfeld! show, Greg and his panel talked about a trans professor from Canada who recently went viral as she/he/they talked about wanting to do ‘sexual orientation’ work with kids as young as kindergarten age.

This professor was in the news a few days ago for a controversy over pronouns.

The New York Post reported:

Trans Canadian researcher gets roasted for using ludicrous pronouns: ‘lower case letters please’

A woke Canadian academic whose research includes working with young children to create “queer- and trans-centered spaces” is drawing mockery online for his choice of pronouns — his full name, all lowercase.

The PhD — who is transgender and presents as a man with a goatee — asked on Facebook to be referred to by his full name, j wallace skelton, in place of traditional third-person pronouns like him, her or they — including the lowercase letters.

“lower case letters please,” the header on his Facebook profile reads for reasons unknown.

Skelton, an assistant professor of queer studies in education at the University of Regina, says on his website that he is the father of a “non-binary ten year old,” whom he says is a frequent research partner.

One of the duo’s projects — as detailed on Skelton’s personal website — centers around “how do 2SLGBTQ children and children from 2SLGBTQ families envision educational spaces that meet their needs,” he wrote, using Canada’s preferred term for LGBTQ.

Higher education really deserves to fail as an industry. It has gone so far out of the mainstream that it is no longer recognizable.

Perhaps something new and better would be born from its ashes.

We certainly shouldn’t continue to fund whatever this professor is talking about. Maybe just medical schools, law schools, and high tech for a while. And trade schools. We actually need more people to go to those.

When the state of Maryland legalized the sale of marijuana a few years ago, they decided that they would set aside a few dollars from each sale to go into a reparations fund which would pay for all sorts of social programs.

Now the fund has $35 million in it but almost none of the money has been paid out because pretty much everyone involved is fighting for control of the fund. Who could have predicted that such a thing would happen?

It’s probably safe to assume that lots of people are going to be very disappointed when this is all finally sorted out and decided.

In the three years since Maryland legalized recreational cannabis, Baltimore has received more than $35 million in tax revenue to reinvest in communities devastated by the War on Drugs. To date, not a single dollar has reached the people it was meant to help, and the first round of funding may still be a year away.

At the center of the delay is an escalating dispute over who controls the money: City Hall or the Baltimore Community Reinvestment and Reparations Commission, the 17-member body established in November 2024 to oversee how the funds are distributed. City Hall says the mayor has final say, while commissioners maintain the body was created to independently manage the funds.

That holdup means that while Maryland’s legalization of cannabis in 2023 led to over $1.1 billion in sales over the following year alone, even as Black communities continue to be targeted by the drug war, none of it has helped repair that damage…

State Senator Mary Washington, who sponsored SB0894, told the Beat that the law was not intended to give local elected officials control over how the money is spent, and argued Baltimore City’s interpretation is out of step with how the law has been understood elsewhere in Maryland.

“The money was never intended to be a slush fund for a county executive or mayor,” she said. Instead, she said, it was meant to reinvest in communities impacted by the War on Drugs and mass incarceration, which continue to face disparities in homeownership, wealth-building, and life expectancy.

This has disaster written all over it.

The article even admits that one of the two groups behind the poll is called ‘Impeach Trump Again.’

They sound objective, don’t they? You couldn’t make this up.

When Republican Glenn Youngkin was Governor of Virginia, he successfully attracted a handful of huge investments to the state. Big companies decided that they wanted to do business there.

Now, the new Governor Abigail Spanberger is trying to take credit for these investments. Is anyone surprised?

Lots of people in Virginia already have buyers’ remorse over Spanberger, who completely misrepresented herself during the campaign.

This is just another example of dishonesty.

Virginia governor Abigail Spanberger (D.) took credit for over $7.1 billion in business investments to the Old Dominion—investments that were actually secured by her Republican predecessor, Glenn Youngkin.

Spanberger’s Monday announcement listed four bipartisan bills she signed that detail the capital investments from Avio USA, Hitachi Energy, Eli Lilly, and AstraZeneca, which involve building new facilities and will bring more than 3,200 jobs building rocket motors, producing critical electrical grid infrastructure, and manufacturing pharmaceuticals. The legislation provides financial incentives for each company.

“From my very first day in office, I have been working to create a stable business environment so companies can hire, expand, and continue to invest in our Commonwealth,” Spanberger said in the announcement. “Attracting new businesses and jobs to Virginia is a core focus of my administration — and I’m proud of the hundreds of millions of dollars in investment we have already announced this year.”

All four companies, however, announced their forthcoming investments last year while Youngkin was governor, as reporter Nick Minock of 7News DC first noted in a Wednesday X post. All four companies also included quotes from Youngkin when announcing the investments in 2025. AstraZeneca’s CEO specifically thanked “Governor Youngkin and his team for their energy and vision,” saying the company “found in Virginia an amazing team that moves at incredible speed to build a better future for this Commonwealth and the American people.” Hitachi said its new Virginia facility came “with the support of Governor Youngkin” as well as “the Trump Administration’s White House AI Action Plan.” Hitachi, Eli Lilly, and AstraZeneca announced their investments before Spanberger won in November.

Political scientist Larry Sabato said Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger’s (D) drop-off in voter approval is “stunning” months into her first term at the helm of the Old Dominion State.

Her approval rating sat at 47 percent, with 46 percent of voters disapproving and 7 percent expressing no opinion, in a poll from The Washington Post and the Schar School of Policy and Government.

The rating is 13 percentage points below the average for Virginia governors analyzed by the Post since the 1990s.

“A drop of that margin is stunning, and it should be greatly disturbing to the governor and the governor’s staff if it’s repeated in other surveys,” Sabato told ABC 7 News.

The people of Virginia were warned. Make better choices next time.

This view of the world has become common among Democrats and it can be traced directly to Senator Bernie Sanders, who is also backing Abdul El-Sayed. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, the Squad, and other Democrats are promoting a political philosophy that is based entirely on envy.

The other thing that’s happening is that as candidates like Zohran Mamdani win elections. these radical leftists see this political philosophy as a path to success and they’re all trying to emulate it.

Rep. Summer Lee, D-Pa., suggested that higher-earning Americans were the real “enemy” during a campaign rally headlined by a far-left social media influencer on Tuesday.

“I see other people who are fighting like hell to make you feel like your enemy is sitting next to you,” Lee said in a video posted by The Washington Free Beacon. “That your enemy is somebody who worships differently than you are, or looks differently than you are, comes from a different socioeconomic background than you, unless they are the upper class.”

“They only have the politics of fear and division and destruction and disruption. They need us to keep our focus away from the people who have participated in the biggest sex trafficking ring in our country,” Lee continued, appearing to reference the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. “I need you to instead lead and learn and live in your power.”

Lee, a left-wing lawmaker affiliated with “the Squad,” made the remarks during a campaign event she participated in to boost Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., another “Squad” member who is supporting El-Sayed, was in attendance.

Stormy Daniels’ disgraced ex-lawyer and anti-Trump superstar Michael Avenatti moved to halfway house

Disgraced Democratic lawyer Michael Avenatti has been moved from federal prison to a halfway house in California, according to Bureau of Prisons records, but remains in federal custody with a projected release date of September 2028.

Avenatti is best known for representing porn star Stormy Daniels in her failed 2018 defamation lawsuit against President Donald Trump. Once a media darling with presidential ambitions, he was later convicted in multiple fraud cases and sentenced to years in federal prison.

An official with the Bureau of Prisons confirmed to Fox News Digital that Avenatti was transferred from the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) Los Angeles to community confinement overseen by the BOP Long Beach Residential Reentry Management (RRM) Office. He has a projected release date of September 8, 2028.

In 2022, Avenatti was convicted and sentenced to 48 months in prison for stealing close to $300,000 in proceeds from Daniels. At the time of his sentencing, Avenatti was already serving a 30-month sentence for threatening to extort $25 million from Nike. Avenatti was also sentenced in December 2022 to 14 years in prison for stealing from four of his clients. One of those clients was a paraplegic.

Now that President Trump has shut down the border and stopped the flow of new people into blue cities and states, they are not able to maintain their population levels as people flee to better places like Texas and Florida.

With smaller populations, these cities and states are going to lose significant electoral power in the present, but even more so in the future. Long term, this is a disaster for them and that is the source for much of their rage.

The left tries to frame their anti-ICE protests as a humanitarian issue but it has nothing to do with that. It’s all about the loss of political power, which is all they have ever really cared about.

Trump’s Crackdown Sends Migration Plunging

Over the past several election cycles, immigration has become one of the defining issues in American politics. Although President Donald Trump campaigned on more restrictive immigration policies in the 2016 presidential election, net international migration was actually higher in his first term than in Obama’s. After migration rose to unprecedented levels by the end of Biden’s presidency, Trump has followed through on his campaign rhetoric, with his administration implementing a markedly stricter approach to immigration enforcement in his second term. I estimate that net international migration has plummeted to roughly one-third of the levels observed at the end of Biden’s second term. Official U.S. Census Bureau projections already indicate that net international migration in 2026 is expected to be roughly nine times lower than in 2024—an estimate I view as broadly reasonable.

The largest declines in net international migration have occurred in Democratic-leaning urban areas—particularly in California, Chicago, and the Northeast, but also in parts of Texas, Colorado, and Florida. Given that the Census has already signaled that 2030 U.S. House reapportionment may already be unfavorable to Democratic states, a continuation of this trend—where domestic outmigration from blue states is not offset by international inflows—could further exacerbate those losses and frankly make the 2032 Electoral Map pretty scary for Democrats.

The Democrats’ loss is the Republicans’ gain.

As people flee these blue states and cities for red states, the blues will lose representation and the reds will pick up more. More people in Congress, more electoral votes, etc.

It’s important to keep this in the back of your mind when the Democrats throw their next temper tantrum. They don’t talk about this issue very much but it is driving much of their rage.

These people don’t seem to realize that they are the fascists. They are the ones who want to use the power of the state to go after their perceived political enemies. They are the ones who are chomping at the bit to wield power over others.

It should be noted that Crow was one of the Democrats who urged the military to ignore supposedly illegal orders. Also, last summer he claimed it was ‘dangerous’ for Tulsi Gabbard to hold Obama accountable for the Russigate hoax.

Rep. Jason Crow, D-Colo., said he was “taking names” and creating his own list on Tuesday when pressed on how Democrats were going to respond to what MS NOW reported as an “enemies” list from the Trump Department of Justice (DOJ), specifically with regard to his participation in a video telling U.S. military personnel to refuse hypothetical illegal orders from the Trump administration.

MS NOW’s Ari Melber, after displaying a graphic of the alleged “enemies” list, said, “Pam Bondi’s out, partly because she has zero wins on this. Probably a good thing for the rule of law, but was a bad thing for her. What do you say to her, to Todd Blanche, who appears to be pursuing a similar program? What will the Congress do? And if they break laws within the DOJ of selective prosecution, will they ever be held accountable?”

Crow argued that strong leadership required them to be thrown “into the fire” and to “pick fights,” as Melber asked him again what they were going to do about it.

“Well, accountability will come, sooner or later,” he said. “You can’t hide from that. We are taking names. I’m creating my own lists of people that need to have oversight and accountability. It is so important right now that people understand that if you’re in this administration, and you’re asked to violate the law, or violate your oath, or turn your back on the Constitution, that you will be judged — one way or another, at some point or another.”
