The Pope is upset at the way President Trump, and DHS, and ICE, and America treats illegal aliens. The Pope says he loves everyone. To him, no one is illegal. The Pope thinks we should be welcoming illegal aliens by the millions. And of course, he hates our wall.

No problem. Here is the 3-part solution…

First, challenge Pope Leo to knock down those Vatican walls, and start inviting immigrants and migrants from around the globe in. You take care of them all. From now on Pope, they are all yours!

Make the Vatican grounds look like New York City, or LA, or San Francisco, or Chicago. Good luck.

Liberals (ie communists) like Pope Leo love to complain about walls, and gates, and guard houses, and guards with guns…

While they live behind walls, and gates, and guard houses, and are surrounded by militarized guards with guns.

And those same liberal hypocrites think once someone invades our country, and illegally breaks into our country, it’s now our responsibility to feed and house them for the rest of their lives- even if it bankrupts us.

Even if they murder, and rape, and assault innocent Americans. Women and children.

Once all these millions of poor, unskilled, military-age males and pregnant women are inside the Vatican, Pope Leo, please accept that they are your responsibility for life.

Please acknowledge that the Vatican and the Catholic Church are responsible for them. Forever. You pay their bills. You pay for their welfare and food stamps, housing, free medical, and school for their millions of children. You pay for their police, court and prison costs.

Dear Pope, if you love them so much, then you pay the bill.

President Trump needs to announce the USA will start deporting millions of our illegal aliens to the Vatican. We don’t want them, and you claim you do, so here’s your chance Pope. Let’s test if your actions match your words.

If the Pope is such a fan of illegal aliens…and migrants from Muslim countries…and MS-13…and terrorists…and drug traffickers…and pedophiles…and murderers…and rapists…

All these powerful Democrats live just like the Pope.

In mansions, behind walls and gates, and protected by armed guards. They never see, or touch illegal aliens. There are no homeless tents and drtug addicts sleeping on the lawn inside their gates. These filthy rich DEmocrat hypocrites all ride in limos and fly private jets. Their children go to fancy, all-white, private schools that cost $60,000 a year.

Just like Pope Leo, the only migrants they ever see are cleaning their toilets, or mowing their lawns.

It’s easy to criticize others, who have to actually live with the “unwashed, unhoused” masses of migrants, a large percentage of whom are criminals, when you fly above in your private jet, or drive by in your limo, or watch from afar, inside your gated mansion.

It’s really easy to tell others to pay for their bills, when the Vatican and the Catholic Church don’t have to pay a dime. The money comes from American taxpayers- and by the way Pope, millions of those taxpayers are your Catholic parishioners.

And it’s also easy to tell us to accept millions of illegals when you’ve conned and scammed the U.S. government into handing Catholic Charities billions of dollars annually to help bring illegals into the USA.

In other words…what a SCAM you’ve got going Pope…

American taxpayers pay the bills, and you get paid. And the more illegals who break into our country, the more money the Catholic Church makes.

So, from now on, Pope Leo, they are yours, and their bills are yours. Forever. They’re your responsibility.

The US Military on Tuesday released audio of US Naval officers patrolling the Gulf of Oman and warning other vessels that try to breach blockade.

“U.S. naval vessels are on patrol in the Gulf of Oman as CENTCOM continues to execute a U.S. blockade on ships entering and departing Iranian ports. U.S. forces are present, vigilant, and ready to ensure compliance,” CENTCOM said.

“After implementing the blockade on ships entering and departing Iranian ports, American forces halted economic trade going into and out of Iran by sea. U.S. Sailors, Marines, and Airmen remain positioned and ready to act against any vessels seeking to violate the blockade,” CENTCOM said.

“The US has announced a formal blockade of Iranian ports in coastal areas,” a Naval officer says.

“This is illegal action. All vessels are advised to immediately return to port if leaving, and discontinue transit to Iran if that is your next port of call, do not attempt to breach the blockade,” he said.

“Vessels will be boarded for interdiction and seizure transiting to or from an Iranian port,” the officer said.

“Turn around and prepare to be boarded. If you do not comply with this blockade, we will use force. The whole of the United States Navy is ready to force compliance,” he said.

On Monday, President Trump announced a US Naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz after peace negotiations stalled.

“The United States to Blockade Ships Entering or Exiting Iranian Ports on April 13 at 10:00 A.M. ET. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DJT” Trump said on Truth Social.

The Gateway Pundit reported on Sunday, President Trump had already ordered the U.S. Navy to BLOCK “any and all ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz effective immediately” after Iran defied his nuclear demands and continued their terrorist extortion racket on the world’s energy supply.

CENTCOM confirmed the blockade: Starting at 10 a.m. ET today, U.S. forces will implement a full blockade of all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports and coastal areas, including every single Iranian port on the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman.

The blockade will be enforced impartially against vessels of all nations. Freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz to non-Iranian ports will continue, but the terror regime’s ports are now effectively shut down.

The US Naval blockade was implemented after Vice President JD Vance announced no deal had been reached with Iran after a 21-hour marathon negotiations.

Here is the US’s ‘red line’ list according to Semafor (It is unclear if any points were agreed upon):

– End all uranium enrichment
– Dismantle all major nuclear enrichment facilities
– Retrieve highly enriched uranium
– Accept a broader peace, security and de-escalation framework that includes regional allies
– End funding for terrorist proxies Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis
– Fully open the Strait of Hormuz, charging no tolls for passage

Critics accuse Liberal government of half-measures.

As the war in Iran seems to be winding down, energy prices around the world continue to spike, and governments look for ways out of this predicament.

As for Canada, the Liberal government will suspend the ​federal fuel excise tax ‌on gasoline and diesel in the period from April 20 to ​September 7.

Yesterday (14), Prime Minister Mark Carney said the measure is to help ​consumers and businesses deal ⁠with rising prices.

Reuters reported:

“’(This) is a responsible measure that will ​reduce operating costs ​for truckers and businesses in the ‌food, ⁠agriculture, housing, construction, and delivery sectors’, he said. The measure is ​expected ​to ⁠reduce the cost of regular gasoline ​by 10 cents ​a ⁠liter and diesel by four cents a liter, ⁠he ​added.”

But while the measures are being welcomed, experts say they don’t go far enough.

Toronto Sun reported:

“While the move may spell some temporarily relief for motorists, gas analyst Dan McTeague told the Toronto Sun it doesn’t go far enough if the Carney Liberals truly cared about affordability.

‘I’m not sure how dropping four cents, with the HST, is going to alleviate what has been a tremendous increase in the price of diesel’, he said. […] ‘The bigger issue is that it should’ve been widened — both the federal government continuing to charge GST and the province’s portion of eight per cent on the higher price’, he said. ‘That’s the real money — that’s where the government continues to make and offset any potential loss in revenue by doing this’.”

McTeague stressed that ‘unaffordable government policies’ weigh heavily in what Canadians pay at the pumps.

“’It isn’t the excise tax — it’s the GST, it’s the weak Canadian dollar that no longer has the status of being a ‘petro-dollar’ as a result of blocking pipelines for 10 years’, McTeague said. ‘The very green net-zero policies this government are pursuing is the real culprit of driving up the costs of everything’.

[…] ‘(Carney) says he’s doing it for good reasons — well, prove it: Suspend the GST, which is what I would have done in this case, because 13% on $2.40 per liter for diesel is 28, 29 cents per liter, not four cents. That’s the real elephant in the room’, McTeague said.”

Democrats cannot help themselves when it comes to using violent rhetoric against President Trump, even after two prior assassination attempts.

As the Hill reported, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director Russ Vought testified before a House Budget Committee panel on Wednesday morning regarding Trump’s fiscal 2027 White House budget request.

The proposed budget request asks for $1.5 trillion in defense spending and cuts non-defense spending by $73 billion. The funding cuts are focused on what the administration calls “woke, weaponized, and wasteful programs.”

The budget would also return some responsibilities back to state and local governments.

Democrats have lashed out not only at the massive defense budget request but the idea of cutting government spending at all.

Now, at least one Democrat is suggesting inflicting violence over the such a commonsense proposal.

During the hearing, Rep. Bonnie Coleman Watson (D-NJ) suggested one way to eliminate waste would be to remove Trump from office.

“If we wanted to eliminate abuse and fraud, we’d eliminate the President of the United States from the office right now, and the rest of the sycophants in his administration,” Watson Coleman said.

Just imagine the reaction from the media if a Republican talked about eliminating Kamala Harris from office.

Two members of Congress, Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales, have already resigned this week due to scandal.

There are reports that two more (Cory Mills and Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick) may soon be expelled if they do not resign.

Congress should consider adding Coleman Watson to list. But this is the same body that has let an anti-Semitic Democrat who allegedly married her brother remain without any repercussions.

During the Biden administration, pro-lifers were routinely targeted by the Department of Justice.

In 2022, under the leadership of then Attorney General Merrick Garland, father of seven and pro-life warrior Mark Houck was arrested in Pennsylvania as dozens of fully-armed FBI agents raided his home and terrified his family.

The arrest stemmed from an incident outside an abortion clinic in 2021.

A 72-year-old abortion escort allegedly insisted on harassing Houck’s 12 -year old son, who was accompanying him during sidewalk counseling in front of the clinic. After weeks of agitation, Houck ultimately shoved the abortion escort. No injuries were reported.

Although local prosecutors declined to pursue the case and a judge dismissed a civil lawsuit filed by the escort, Federal authorities charged Houck with violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.

Houck was found not guilty.

The jury trial began on January 24, 2023, before United States District Judge Gerald J. Pappert in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Just one week later, the jury returned a verdict of “not guilty,” acquitting Mark Houck. Defense attorneys Peter Breen and Brian McMonagle, representing the Thomas More Society, successfully argued that the abortion escort was the aggressor in the encounter.

Their victory not only freed Mark and his family from the burden imposed by the Biden administration but also protected the rights of every sidewalk counselor who ministers to women entering abortion clinics.

Following the trial, Houck filed a lawsuit against the Department of Justice in 2023 seeking restitution for what he called “a faulty investigation” and “excessive force.”

After a three-year battle, Houck has now reached a settlement with the DOJ for more than $1 million.

Fox News reports:

Steve Crampton, one of Houck’s attorneys at the Thomas More Society, told Fox News Digital that the outcome was long overdue and they were pleased with the Trump administration’s efforts to bring forth justice in the case.

“We are very pleased with a Department of Justice that seems to be genuinely interested in doing justice,” Crampton said. “That’s rare enough these days, and we look forward to Mark not being the only wrongfully accused defendant to receive some kind of remuneration and recognition for the wrongs that were done to him.”

Crampton said the Trump administration should be commended for “attempting to at least acknowledge, if not completely right, the wrongs that were done” to pro-life activists under the Biden administration.

A recent report from the DOJ outlines how the Biden administration weaponized the federal government against pro-life groups.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement, “This Department will not tolerate a two-tiered system of justice.”

“No Department should conduct selective prosecution based on beliefs. The weaponization that happened under the Biden Administration will not happen again, as we restore integrity to our prosecutorial system.”

PETA’s youth-focused division, PETA2, is once again proving that the animal rights group can’t resist injecting radical leftist politics into its activism, even when targeting impressionable youth.

On Tuesday, the youth and teen outreach arm posted images to Instagram under the caption, “drop a comment if you are any of these please and thank you.”

The images feature meme-style graphics styled like AI prompts, “computer bring me a bisexual vegan boy,” “computer bring me a dom vegan girl,” and “computer bring me a submissive nb vegan” (meaning non-binary).

According to PETA, the kink-promoting PETA2 arm is meant to appeal to youth as young as 13.

PETA2 has over 200,000 Instagram followers and regularly mixes animal welfare messaging with progressive social causes aimed at young audiences. The post had over 500 likes, but still no comments by Wednesday afternoon.

This isn’t PETA’s first jump into transgender and LGBTQ activism.

In a previous campaign, PETA featured transgender model and actor Carmen Carrera in a “Transform Your Wardrobe” campaign.

Carrera appeared naked in promotional materials for the organization, covered in transgender flag colored censor bars.

Yet PETA founder and president Ingrid Newkirk has repeatedly insisted the organization is not a “lefty” group.

In a 2025 Washington Examiner op-ed titled “PETA a ‘lefty’ group? Think again,” Newkirk claimed, “PETA fights cruelty to animals across all lines, period,” and “There’s nothing ‘lefty’ about that.”

Newkirk insisted the group’s mission is nonpartisan and focused solely on animal welfare, not political ideologies.

Their actions clearly tell another story.

They just think you’re suckers.

Just months ago, in November, PETA drew criticism for going on a jealous rant against the White Coat Waste Project (WCW), a more effective taxpayer watchdog group successfully working with Republicans and Democrats to end federal animal testing programs.

White Coat Waste famously exposed the transgender animal testing being funded by taxpayers, and has continued fighting to end it.

PETA officials lashed out at WCW for its “young-male-testosterone energy” and accused it of attacking other groups for fundraising purposes.

One PETA activist reportedly reacted to WCW’s criticism of an NIH official by asking, “Have they lost their f-cking minds?”

Despite PETA’s massive budget and decades of protests, WCW has racked up tangible wins, including ending primate testing at the Department of Veterans Affairs, closing the FDA’s largest monkey lab, and slashing NIH-funded experiments.

PETA has struggled to deliver results, seemingly preferring to pander to identity politics and rub elbows with officials in DC.

Instead of focusing on those kinds of concrete victories or the animals it claims to defend, PETA is busy playing matchmaker for “bisexual vegan boys” and “submissive non-binary vegans.”

The post’s awkward attempt to blend niche identity labels and kink with veganism comes across less like serious advocacy and more like a desperate bid to stay relevant with Gen Z and Alpha, both of which went through a pretty crazy rainbow trend for a few years.

PETA has long positioned itself as the loudest voice for animals, but posts like this one reveal where its priorities increasingly lie, not stopping animal testing, but ensuring the movement stays firmly aligned with the latest progressive cause du jour.

Katy Perry is under investigation for sexual assault in Australia.

The singer, who is currently dating former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, is under investigation by police in Melbourne over an incident that took place 16 years ago.

The accusation comes from Ruby Rose, an Australian model and actress.

Victoria police said in a statement.

“Melbourne sexual offences and child abuse investigation team (SOCIT) detectives are investigating [an alleged] historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010.”

“Police have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourne’s CBD.”

“As the investigation remains ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.”

The investigation comes days after Rose made allegations about Perry’s behavior on social media.

“Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne,” she wrote in reaction to a post detailing Perry’s reaction to Justin Bieber’s performance at the Coachella music festival.

”Who gives a shit what she thinks,” she added.

Rose claimed that Perry had rubbed her “disgusting vagina” on her face, causing her to vomit.

Ruby Rose has accused Katy Perry of sexually assaulting her around 20 years ago.

Representatives for Perry have vociferously denied the claims.

“The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies.”

”Ms Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.”

Rose has since said that the accusation is allowing her to “start the healing process” and “move forward.

“As of this afternoon, I have finalized all of my reports,” she wrote on social media yesterday.

”This means I am no longer able to comment, repost, or talk publicly about any of those cases, or the individuals involved.”

“This is a standard request from the police and in many ways, quite the relief.“

Brian Cole, the alleged DNC pipe bomber, was hit with a superseding indictment on Wednesday.

The superseding indictment added two more charges: Interstate Transportation of Explosives and Malicious Attempt to Use Explosives.

Brian Cole, 30, of Woodridge, Virginia, was taken into custody in December and charged with use of an explosive device and attempted malicious destruction by means of explosive materials.

Cole initially admitted to investigators that he planted pipe bombs at the RNC and DNC headquarters on January 5, the night before the Capitol riot.

However, Cole pleaded not guilty to the charges this year.

The FBI identified Cole based on his phone pings and transaction history on his credit cards, according to an affidavit.

The FBI has identified one bank checking account and six credit cards (the “Accounts”) used by COLE. The FBI obtained records for the checking account and three credit cards for the time period January 2018 to January 2021. Three additional credit cards were obtained for the time period of January 2018 to November 2025. The FBI reviewed the transaction history for all of these Accounts.

Cole’s family said he is an “autistic recluse” and “computer nerd” who lived in the basement of his parents’ Woodbridge, Virginia, home.

Brian Cole’s grandmother told The Daily Mail that her grandson has no party affiliation and that he is not a Trump supporter.

Cole’s attorneys argued that their client is covered by President Trump’s blanket January 6 pardons.

Earlier this month, Brian Cole’s lawyers filed a motion for early return of subpoenas and publicly disclosed information about the DOJ’s review of Capitol Police Officer Shauni Kerkhoff’s alleged role in January 6.

As TGP’s Brian Lupo previously reported, in a motion filed a couple of weeks ago, Brian Cole’s lawyers alleged, “according to discovery produced by the government in this case,” “the FBI began investigating, questioning, and covertly surveilling” Kerkhoff “during the time it began investigating Mr. Cole.”

On November 6, 2025, Kerkhoff was interviewed by the FBI and took a polygraph examination.

“She was asked two relevant questions: (1) “Did you place those pipe bombs?” and (2) “Did you place those pipe bombs that evening?” Ms. Kerkhoff failed the polygraph. The FBI polygraph examiner noted Kerkhoff’s “very controlled reaction to the news of her failing the polygraph and seemingly rehearsed responses to the examiner’s questions.”” the motion said.

Later that day, the Justice Department moved to hold Brian Cole’s lawyers in contempt for violating a protective order and publicly posting allegations against former Capitol Police officer Shauni Kerkhoff.

The motion filed by Brian Cole’s lawyers was removed from the public docket.

During Tuesday night’s game between the New York Islanders and the Carolina Hurricanes on Long Island, hockey fans rallied to help jailed ex-NYPD Sgt. Erik Duran, during a fundraising push to help him in his fight to overturn the controversial sentence handed down by a far-left judge.

In August 2023, fleeing drug suspect Eric Duprey died after a Duran tossed a cooler he grabbed from a local family’s sidewalk table at him. Duprey, who was fleeing a Bronx buy-and-bust drug sting at the time, was knocked off his bike. Duprey died from injuries following the incident.

Duran was charged with second-degree manslaughter in January 2024.

Last week, The New York Post reported that radical Bronx Judge Guy Mitchell handed Duran a sentence of 3 to 9 years in prison despite pleas from the father of three to show mercy.

During the Islanders game,  the NYPD’s Sergeants Benevolent Association shared a fundraiser for Duran on the Jumbotron to help him raise funds to overturn the harsh sentence.

The New York Post reports:

“This is all about Erik’s family,” said union head Vincent Vallelong, who was joined at the game by Post executive Patrick Judge, Islanders co-owner Jon Ledecky and other SBA members.

“Whatever it takes to get him out, is exactly what it is everyone on this board believes and everybody in law enforcement is going to do at this point. The message is that basically, this is going to affect law enforcement across the nation. They all feel that this can happen in their cities.”

Islanders fans were given the option to donate directly to the fund, which had already raised $40,000 as of Tuesday morning, via a QR code displayed on the jumbotron.

A portion of Tuesday night’s 50/50 raffle that took in nearly $45,000 will also go toward the legal fund launched Monday by the SBA to help Duran appeal his conviction.

The fundraiser, spearheaded by The National Police Defense Foundation (NPDF) notes, “In August 2023, Sgt. Erik Duran, a highly decorated member of the NYPD, was supervising a “buy and bust” operation in the Bronx. One of the suspects attempted to evade capture by mounting a nearby motorcycle and driving it on the sidewalk, directly at responding officers. Fearing that his officers would be seriously injured or killed by fleeing felon Eric Duprey, Sgt. Duran grabbed an Igloo cooler and hurled it at Duprey to divert him from crashing into his officers, their prisoner, or bystanders.”

“Sgt. Duran’s actions saved the lives of innocent civilians nearby, his officers and their prisoner. Unfortunately, suspect Duprey, a known member of the Trinitarios street gang who was not wearing a helmet, was killed. Attorney General Leticia James chose to prosecute the Sergeant for Manslaughter, and after a bench trial in February 2026, Sgt. Duran was found guilty of Second-degree Manslaughter.”

“On April 9th, 2026, Judge Guy Mitchell sentenced the former Sergeant to three to nine years in prison, and he was immediately taken into custody after sentencing in what the National Police Defense Foundation believes is a blatant miscarriage of justice. We believe that Sgt. Duran never intended for the suspect to be injured or killed. The sole predicate for his actions that day was to protect his officers, other suspects and bystanders from Duprey, who recklessly fled at a high rate of speed along a pedestrian walkway created a clear and present danger of death or serious bodily injuries to others, thereby justifying the Sergeant’s actions.”

“At the direction of Executive Director Joseph Occhipinti and the Executive Board, the National Police Defense Foundation has created the Sgt. Erik Duran Legal Defense Fund. Weinstein, 74, made the creepy comment in 2020 at his first sex crimes trial in Manhattan Supreme Court, Assistant District Attorney Candace White asserted.”

The outrageous alleged statement was reported to the District Attorney’s Office last week — six years after the officer heard it.

“Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Curtis Farber questioned why it took the officer so long to report the incident, which prompted Weinstein’s attorney Marc Agnifilo to describe the claim as ‘farfetched’.

‘This missed notice by six years’, Agnifilo said, urging the judge not to allow the remark to be brought up during the latest trial.”

Prosecutors said they will only bring up the comments if Weinstein decides to testify in his own defense.

The frontrunner to be California’s next governor has perhaps released the nation’s most radical immigration platform, but is not practicing what he preaches.

Radical billionaire and Democrat donor Tom Steyer, who launched a short-lived run for president in 2020, has now emerged as the person to beat after Eric Swalwell dropped out of the race due to major sexual assault allegations Steyer has already burned through over $100 million to buy the election.

On Tuesday, Steyer released an immigration platform so far to the left that he almost makes Gavin Newsom look like President Trump on the issue.

Not only does he want to abolish ICE completely and throw agents in jail, but he also wants to ensure California taxpayers pay for every dime to support legal representation for illegals.

Steyer is even vowing to ignore a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling in favor of ICE. And people have the gall to call Trump a tyrant?

But Steyer seemed at one point to be okay with putting illegal aliens into custody as long as it enhances his bottom line. As The New York Post reported, the billionaire Democrat once invested almost $90 million in a company responsible for some of California’s largest immigration detention center.

From The Post:

Steyer founded a hedge fund named Farallon Capital Management in 1986. Under his management, the fund put money into CoreCivic, which runs private prisons. Farallon’s shares in the company were valued at $89.1 million at one point.

Now, the company runs five facilities in California, according to its website. At least two of them house people detained by federal immigration agents — one near San Diego and another in Kern County.

Steyer, who sold his stake in the Farallon back in 2012, is now attempting to do damage control as his poll numbers rise.

“We never had anything to do with running the company,” Steyer said in an interview with the Sacramento Bee. “But it was a mistake to think that that was a place where it was decent to make money.”

Ireland is erupting against the government.

We have been following the massive protests taking place across Ireland on TGP, as angry citizens protest the cost of fuel and the government’s suicidal energy policies.

Yesterday, the Irish coalition survived a confidence vote in Parliament over how it handled a week of disruption with demonstrations blocking access to oil supplies, causing gas pumps to run dry and creating massive traffic jams.

Associated Press reported:

“Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin defended his coalition government by saying it had acted to end the ‘destructive blockade which threatened to cause much deeper damage’.

The 92-78 vote in support of the government preserved his leadership. If the confidence vote failed, his government would have been forced to resign and Parliament would have either elected a new prime minister or called a general election.”

Protests have been ongoing since April 7, with slow-moving convoys clogging roadways, and with truckers, farmers, and taxi and bus operators blocking key infrastructure.

The government sent the police and the military to break the blockages, but that only further inflamed the Irish people.

“Demonstrators called for price caps or tax cuts to alleviate soaring fuel costs they said would drive people out of business.

After the vote, a crowd of protesters gathered outside the Dáil, the parliament building in Dublin, chanted ‘sell out’ and ‘get them out’.”

Irish independent politician Michael J. Healy-Rae, who served as a Minister of State, has resigned, and announced he’ll be voting no confidence in the government.

But the victory in Parliament came with losses for the government, as the Minister of State for Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and the Marine, Michael Healy-Rae, announced his resignation, accusing the coalition of losing touch with the people.

“He said that he could not, in his heart, vote confidence in the Government.

[…] This was a bombshell moment in the Dáil as Mr. Healy-Rae took most people gathered by surprise, as he quit the Government and his role as Junior Minister for Agriculture.

[…] As his brother Danny Healy-Rae watched on from the opposite side of the chamber and his son from the public gallery, he said that the sight of grown men crying over the cost of fuel left him with no choice but to leave the Government.”

The ongoing U.S.-Iran war has closed the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow waterway through which approximately 20% of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas normally transits daily, triggering the largest energy supply disruption in the history of global oil markets. The closure has paralyzed China’s Belt and Road shipping infrastructure, eliminated Iran’s primary source of government revenue, and forced the world’s buyers to seek reliable alternative suppliers.

Whether by design or by a convergence of fortuitous circumstances, President Trump has used the war and its economic pressure points to position the United States as the dominant force in global energy, systematically reducing the power of Iran, China, and Russia while consolidating U.S. control over critical shipping lanes from the Persian Gulf to the Panama Canal.

U.S. crude exports are projected to reach a record 5.2 million barrels per day in May, as Asian buyers snap up cargoes to offset the loss of Middle Eastern supply. Currently, 171 crude tankers are bound for the U.S. Gulf Coast, compared with approximately 110 in a typical month, with supertanker bookings for May at 28 vessels against a monthly average of just five. The world’s buyers are choosing American oil because there is no comparable alternative at scale and reliability.

The IMF projects the U.S. economy will grow 2.3% this year, the strongest of any major advanced economy, cushioned partly by its status as a net energy exporter. That is a direct economic benefit accruing to the United States, while every other major economy absorbs damage from the same disruption.

On Iran specifically, the damage to its power is severe and multidimensional. The rial has fallen from 42,000 to over 1.1 million against the dollar, making it effectively the least valuable currency in the world. The U.S. naval blockade is cutting off Iranian oil revenue at an estimated $150 million per day, against a backdrop where oil accounted for roughly one quarter of government revenue and the government could not meet payroll obligations even before the war began. The IRGC’s parallel economic empire, which processed approximately half of Iran’s oil exports, is being directly targeted.

It has been widely reported that the IRGC created a toll system charging ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz up to $2 million per vessel, payable in Chinese yuan, Bitcoin, or cryptocurrency stablecoins. However, there are no confirmed reports that any ship has actually paid this toll. Shipping companies, when interviewed, described being approached with the offer but did not confirm agreeing to it. Independent vessel tracking data confirms that approximately 10 to 11 ships per day have traversed the strait, and some analysts have estimated IRGC daily toll revenue at $20 million based on that traffic volume. That figure is purely mathematical, derived by multiplying the number of transits by the stated fee. It does not constitute evidence that any payment was made.

China’s export profit margins were already razor-thin before the Iran war began. The Producer Price Index spent 40 consecutive months in negative territory through early 2026, industrial profits fell 13.1% year-on-year in November 2025, and manufacturing capacity utilization had dropped to 74%. The loss of access to discounted Iranian crude, 1.4 million barrels per day that made up over 80% of Iran’s shipped oil exports, combined with the surge in global energy and logistics costs produced by the Hormuz closure, is compounding that margin compression.

China is being forced to source oil from markets where the U.S. has pricing and supply influence, at prices roughly 50% above pre-war levels. Belt and Road shipping infrastructure through the Gulf is paralyzed, disrupting both petroleum imports and manufactured goods exports simultaneously. Beijing is absorbing the economic damage while having no effective military or diplomatic response.

On Russia, the indirect effect is significant. Russia had been benefiting from being a sanctioned-but-functioning energy exporter selling to China and others at a discount. As U.S. oil floods global markets at premium prices and buyers compete for American barrels, the structural case for Russian oil as an indispensable alternative weakens. U.S. LNG running at near-peak export capacity simultaneously undermines Russian natural gas leverage over Europe, which had been Moscow’s primary geopolitical tool since Ukraine.

U.S. strategic power consolidation in the Western Hemisphere is supported by U.S. actions in Panama and Venezuela. Last year, President Trump convinced Panama to remove Chinese commercial control over Panama Canal port facilities. Canal operations, while remaining the property of Panama, now more closely align with U.S. foreign policy objectives.

This was followed by the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro earlier this year during Operation Absolute Resolve, a U.S. military operation that resulted in his arrest in January 2026. Venezuelan oil policy is now substantially aligned with U.S. direction following the operation.

Combined with U.S. military dominance in the Caribbean established during the Venezuela operation, the U.S. sinking of narco-trafficking ships in the Caribbean, and joint U.S. military actions against traffickers in Ecuador and other countries, the Western Hemisphere is more firmly within the U.S. sphere of influence than at any point in decades.

Media have claimed that the war is causing friction with U.S. Gulf allies such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Kuwait, which are absorbing serious economic damage from the Hormuz closure. However, this has produced no practical reduction in U.S. global power or the security architecture that underpins it.

Before the war, Gulf states expressed diplomatic reservations about U.S. military action against Iran and declined to offer their airspace for strikes. Once the war began, Iran attacked them directly with missiles and drones. The Arab League Secretary-General strongly condemned the Iranian retaliatory attacks against Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, the UAE, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, characterizing them as a flagrant violation of sovereignty.

The UN Security Council adopted resolution 2817, submitted by Bahrain on behalf of the entire GCC plus Jordan, condemning Iran’s strikes. China and Russia abstained. Gulf states sided with the U.S. position against Iran at the UN while China and Russia refused to condemn attacks on Arab soil.

Throughout the conflict, Gulf states continued hosting U.S. military forces and received active U.S. and British air defense support. Saudi Arabia’s AI company, Humain pledged, not to purchase Chinese equipment, and the UAE’s G42 cut ties with Huawei, aligning both countries with the U.S.-led technological bloc restricting China’s access to advanced semiconductors.

No Gulf state has switched to China as a security partner, adopted yuan-denominated oil pricing as a result of the conflict, or reduced U.S. military access to the region. Iran attacking its Arab neighbors has driven Gulf states deeper into dependence on U.S. military protection, not away from it.

The war is accelerating a structural shift that will permanently reduce Iran’s ability to use the Strait of Hormuz as a geopolitical weapon. Within hours of Operation Epic Fury beginning, Saudi Arabia activated its long-prepared contingency plan. The East-West pipeline reached full capacity of 7 million barrels per day, with crude exports via the Red Sea port of Yanbu surging from a pre-crisis baseline of under 800,000 barrels per day to nearly 5 million barrels per day. The UAE simultaneously maximized its Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline, carrying up to 1.8 million barrels per day to Fujairah on the Gulf of Oman, bypassing Hormuz entirely.

The crisis has converted theoretical pipeline expansion plans into active investment decisions. Saudi Arabia is weighing expansions to the East-West pipeline and new Red Sea export terminals. The UAE is exploring a second pipeline to Fujairah. Proposed multi-country projects include pipelines linking Iraqi oil fields to Mediterranean ports and integrated energy links within the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor.

The existing bypass capacity does not fully replace the strait. Combined alternative route capacity amounts to approximately 8 to 9 million barrels per day against the 17 to 21 million barrels per day that normally transits Hormuz. However, each new pipeline that comes online permanently erodes Iran’s ability to hold the global economy hostage by threatening closure. The 1980s Iran-Iraq war produced the East-West pipeline. The 2026 war is producing a second generation of bypass infrastructure on a larger scale, with active U.S. strategic backing, making a future Iranian closure of the strait progressively less catastrophic for global energy markets.

With exports reduced to almost nothing, Iran’s economy was projected by the IMF to contract by 10%. However, the IMF counts produced and stored oil as part of GDP even though it cannot be sold, so the real contraction will be even greater. The U.S. blockade of the strait is meant to ensure that no country purchases Iranian oil and that no country pays the $2 million toll for use of the strait.

By cutting off the IRGC’s revenue, the Trump administration hopes to accelerate the regime’s collapse and bring about an end to the war.

Unfortunately, this improved strategic positioning has come at a cost for American consumers, who are facing higher gasoline prices. Average U.S. gas prices are up roughly 40%, approximately $1.18 per gallon, since the start of the war. Oil prices are expected to come down once control of the strait has been completely wrestled from the grasp of the IRGC.

By playing nice, weak, cowardly, and accommodating to Hitler, Chamberlain’s weakness led to World War 2. The result was over 60 million dead (military plus civilian deaths), at a financial cost of almost $6 trillion dollars- by the United States alone.

If Churchill had been in power to stop Hitler early, we would have never spent all that money or lost 60+ million human beings.

That is exactly what President Trump did with this Iran conflict.

Trump is playing long ball. He is eliminating the world’s worst terror threat and future nuclear threat. Over the years to come, that bold, aggressive move will save American lives and taxpayer money by the trillions.

Never forget, it was President Obama who gave $150 billion to Iran. $150 billion- with a B. Obama built Frankenstein.

All of the death and destruction going on in Iran now is on Obama, not Trump. This is Obama’s war. He funded Iran, and they used all that U.S. taxpayer money to build their military and nuclear arsenal, murder American GIs, and fund terror attacks across the globe.

Obama is the modern-day Neville Chamberlain. Trump is the modern-day Churchill. Thank God we have President Trump.

So, I’m 100% behind President Trump. Finish the job in Iran.

But the negative is, this Iran conflict is eating up all the oxygen in the room. It has become a WMD- a “Weapon of Mass Distraction.” It’s all the media cares about. It’s all everyone talks about.

In reality, the #1 issue and #1 priority in America is making Voter ID the law of the land, and changing from corrupt machine voting to paper ballots, to prevent massive voter fraud.

Here in Las Vegas, the biggest billion-dollar casino giants have been hacked- causing tens of millions in losses. Across America, credit card giants have been hacked. Banks have been hacked. US government agencies have been hacked.

So, do you trust that voting machines aren’t being hacked?

Do you trust that elections aren’t being rigged and stolen by China, the CCP, or Iran? What about Russia? Or North Korea? Or George Soros’s organization? Or, any of America’s enemies?

You know, like the Democrat Party.

President Trump just signed an Executive Order limiting mail-in ballot use to American citizens. Mail-in ballots now have to be checked against Social Security numbers, proof of citizenship, and numbered with barcodes. If Trump’s EO is ratified by the Supreme Court, the days of fake mail-in ballots and illegal aliens voting by the millions with mail-in ballots are over.

Bravo, President Trump.

But we aren’t done. Not by a long shot. There are still many Election Integrity issues left to overcome.

First, why is the SAVE America Act no longer in the headlines? Why is no one talking about it? Iran has blotted out the sun. Passing Voter ID is the #1 priority in America- if the GOP wants to win the midterms. Iran pales by comparison.

Trump’s EO only deals with mail-in ballots. It does nothing to resolve in-person voter fraud.

So, all of us need to get active and busy, contacting our representatives in the Senate to demand they pass the SAVE America Act- no matter how they get it done (suspending the Filibuster, or reconciliation).

SAVE ensures we have Voter Photo ID and proof of citizenship for in-person voting.

Secondly, President Trump cannot wait for Congress to act. They may never pass it, or they may pass it too late to survive challenges by Democrats, multiple appeals, and a final Supreme Court ruling.

Trump needs to act now- as in TODAY.

Please, Mr. President, sign a new EO mandating Voter Photo ID and proof of citizenship to vote in person in federal elections. That way, the Democrat challenges get started now, so we can get a final Supreme Court ruling before the midterms.

And also, at the same time, Mr. President, sign a second EO ending machine voting, and mandating paper ballots. This way, we know elections can’t be hacked, rigged, and stolen by foreign powers.

I’d also recommend a third EO, banning Ballot Harvesting and Ballot Drop Boxes. Neither is allowed anywhere else in the world- due to the likelihood of voter fraud. Why is America so dumb and naive?

Answer- this is how Democrats win elections- by rigging and stealing them.

These are the #1 priorities on earth for the GOP and MAGA. Far more important than Iran, or anything else, anywhere in the world.

Because if we lose the midterms, it’s all over. The Trump agenda is stopped. All attempts to end voter fraud are stopped. Trump will face non-stop impeachments. Elections will never be safe again.

Voter Integrity is the whole ballgame, the whole kitchen sink, and the whole kit n caboodle.

Please, Mr. President, don’t be distracted. Sign these EOs to secure the midterms.

It’s pretty incredible when you can get the Democrats and the media to care, suddenly, about the issue of blasphemy. I thought maybe Easter Sunday had led to some kind of unexpected revival when I saw that kind of talk making the rounds.

And then I realized that, no, it was just because they were claiming President Donald Trump thought he was Jesus Christ and that gave them a good angle to appear like they cared about religion — along with the ability to ignore a bunch of other stuff they didn’t want to report on.

The question therefore asks itself: Where was the media when artists were busy depicting Barack Obama as a Christ-like figure? Where were the Democrats?

So, in case you missed it, on a weekend where clearly nothing else was happening — especially multiple sexual abuse allegations against a sitting member of Congress who was the Democratic frontrunner for California governor, allegations which it turns out the media had known about in some form for years and not bothered following up on — the media and the left was getting outraged about this picture:

Trump said he posted the artwork because he thought it showed him as a doctor, not as Christ.

President Trump claims the viral image that was posted on Truth was not a depiction of him as Jesus Christ but was him being depicted as a doctor.

“It’s supposed to be me as a doctor making people better, and I do make people better. I make people a lot better, and I do make people better,” he said.

However, even he realized the limitations of this and deleted the image on Sunday. Not that this stopped the coverage from the media.

The New York Times: “The post’s removal was a rare retreat for Mr. Trump, who had posted the apparently A.I.-generated image shortly after using the same platform to attack the American-born Pope Leo XIV, a vocal critic of the U.S. war in Iran. The appearance of the image had sparked an evening’s worth of backlash from religious leaders and Christian supporters who were hurt and shocked that Mr. Trump had appeared to depict himself as a Jesus-like figure.

“Later in the day, in an interview with CBS News, Mr. Trump repeated his explanation that he believed the image, which he said he thought was made by ‘a very beautiful, talented artist,’ had depicted him as a doctor,” the paper added.

Yes, all you need to do for the left’s newspaper of record to get uptight about blasphemy and treat Catholicism with reverence is be Donald Trump.

Now, granted, Trump passed it on via Truth Social, but I doubt he was the one who created it. However, it does ask the question: Where was the media when Barack Obama was around? Because not only were they the ones not reporting too much on depictions of the 44th president as Jesus, they were the ones creating them:

The media themselves had an affinity for portraying Barack Obama as a messianic/angelic figure.

Zero outrage from Democrats or the left.

But not too much of a stir. From the piece:

Bruce Jenkins, dean of the art school’s undergraduate program, said response to the piece — part of a student exhibition — has been mostly positive. He said people should take a close look at the sculpture and the context it was created in before judging it.

“When you see it, when you spend time with it, you understand that it’s not a provocative work at all,” Jenkins said. “It opens a set of questions.”

The Archdiocese of Chicago had not seen the work as of Monday afternoon and could not comment on it, said spokeswoman Dianne Dunagan.

Not provocative at all, see? And Catholics couldn’t be bothered to look at it. Nothing to look at here!

I’d like to note that for conservatives, there’s always going to be a difference between “moments that shouldn’t go in Trump’s presidential library as examples of his greatness, but no big deal” and “stuff the left has a legitimate reason to be outraged about, even if we disagree.” This is definitely the former.

You know how I know? Because not only was the left not outraged when people did the same thing about Barack Obama, they were the ones doing it.

The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed to Fox News that the savage behind a random, bloody murder spree in DeKalb County, Georgia, is a “United Kingdom national” who was fast-tracked into American citizenship during Joe Biden’s disastrous administration in 2022.

Olaolukitan Adon Abel, 26, was arrested after carrying out a vicious early-morning shooting rampage across three separate locations in DeKalb County on Monday, April 13th. He is now facing two counts of murder, aggravated assault, and multiple weapons charges.

According to authorities, Abel shot and killed one woman in front of a Checkers restaurant, then hunted down and brutally stabbed and shot to death 40-year-old Lauren Bullis while she was simply walking her dog in a quiet neighborhood. Bullis was an employee of the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Inspector General.

Abel also opened fire on a homeless man in front of a shopping center, shooting him multiple times and leaving him critically injured.

According to the Brookhaven Police Department:

The Brookhaven Police Department has arrested and charged Olaolukitan Adon Abel, 26, of Atlanta with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony in connection with the shooting that occurred earlier this morning at Cherokee Plaza, located at 3855 Peachtree Road.

On April 13, 2026, at approximately 1:59 a.m., Brookhaven officers responded to the Cherokee Plaza Shopping Center in reference to a person being shot. Upon arrival, officers located a 49-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, where he remains in critical condition.

Through the use of the Brookhaven Police Department’s Operation Plugged In Camera Network, along with coordinated law enforcement efforts, detectives were able to quickly develop leads and positively identify the shooter.

This afternoon, Adon Abel was taken into custody without incident by the Georgia Department of Public Safety in Troup County following coordination with Brookhaven detectives.

Further investigation has revealed that Adon Abel is also responsible for other shootings that occurred earlier in unincorporated DeKalb County.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. The Brookhaven Police Department is working closely with the DeKalb County Police Department and state partners to ensure all aspects of these incidents are thoroughly investigated.

DHS confirmed to Fox News that Abel had a lengthy criminal rap sheet long before this nightmare unfolded. Prior convictions include sexual battery, battery against a police officer, and assault with a deadly weapon.

Two Omaha police officers heroically saved a 3-year-old boy named Cyler on Tuesday morning by fatally shooting a violent, knife-wielding woman who had just abducted the young child from his caretaker inside a Walmart store and then slashed him across the face and head with a stolen butcher knife.

The suspect, 31-year-old who , is dead after officers had no choice but to open fire when she refused repeated commands to drop the weapon and began viciously attacking the defenseless child in the parking lot.

Police say Guzman forced the child’s guardian through the store and into the parking lot at knifepoint, effectively kidnapping the toddler in broad daylight.

When officers arrived, they were confronted with a rapidly escalating crisis.

Despite repeated commands to drop the weapon, Guzman refused, and then, in a shocking act of violence, slashed the young boy across the face.

That’s when officers acted. They opened fire, striking Guzman and ending the threat on the spot.

According to the Omaha Police Department:

The Omaha Police Department’s Officer-Involved Investigations Team is investigating an incident that occurred Tuesday morning leaving one woman dead and a child injured.

Uniform Patrol Bureau officers responded to Wal-Mart at 1606 S 72nd Street for a “nature unknown” emergency call at 9:13 a.m. Initial information provided to 911 was from a female caller requesting police assistance. This female stopped providing information to the call taker. An additional 911 caller indicated there was a woman armed with a “large kitchen knife” with a young child.

A two-officer patrol unit arrived at the location where the officers immediately exited their cruiser to approach the armed woman, later identified as Noemi Guzman, 31, who was near the southern parking lot entry standing by a shopping cart with a 3-year-old boy inside. Ms. Guzman was making multiple threats with the knife.

Officers gave multiple verbal commands for Ms. Guzman to drop the knife. She refused to drop the weapon and cut the boy. The two patrol officers fired their service weapons striking Ms. Guzman.

The child’s guardian, along with a bystander, immediately removed the child from the cart and rendered aid to him. Officers began lifesaving measures on Ms. Guzman; however, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The boy was taken to Children’s Hospital by Omaha Fire Department medics for treatment. The boy’s injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Investigators later determined through store surveillance footage that Ms. Guzman had shoplifted the knife from inside the store. She then approached the child and guardian in a shopping aisle, brandished the knife, and forced the guardian to walk ahead of the cart while the child remained inside.

Ms. Guzman directed them through the store and into the parking lot. Officers arrived shortly after Ms. Guzman, the guardian, and child exited the store and began walking east toward the parking lot entrance.

“The responding officers acted with professionalism and direct action to intervene and save a child’s life,” said Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer. “The community can be reassured in knowing that Omaha police officers stand ready to act with courage and decisiveness in the most serious situations to protect the public.”

Omaha Mayor John W. Ewing Jr. thanked police for quick action that prevented a larger tragedy.

“I am grateful for the department’s professionalism and transparency,” he said.

The investigation remains ongoing. The Omaha Police Department Officer-Involved Investigations Team is being assisted by investigators from the Nebraska State Patrol, Douglas and Sarpy County Sheriff’s Offices.

But as details emerge, this case is igniting outrage for another reason.

The suspect should never have been on the streets in the first place.

Records show that Guzman had a disturbing history of violent behavior, including allegedly attacking her own father with a knife, setting his home on fire, and breaking into a Catholic church rectory while a priest was barricaded inside.

Despite the severity of those crimes, Judge Russell Derr released her on a personal recognizance bond.

Following the initial release and subsequent legal proceedings, the court formally determined her mental state.

She was found not guilty (or not responsible) by reason of insanity for the felonies of assault, arson, burglary, and criminal mischief.

Instead of prison, a judge assigned her a community-based treatment plan in 2025, which included outpatient therapy and living with her family.

She was scheduled for an annual court review on June 12, 2026, to evaluate her progress, but this hearing was superseded by the fatal incident at the Omaha Walmart on April 14, 2026.

The radical left’s war on the American Republic just took a terrifying leap forward in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

On Tuesday, far-left Governor Abigail Spanberger officially signed legislation that would enter Virginia into the controversial National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC). This dangerous move effectively strikes a match to the U.S. Constitution.

Virginia becomes the 19th jurisdiction to join the compact, bringing the total to 222 electoral votes, just 48 shy of the 270 needed to activate the plan.

According to the League of Women Voters, “Six additional states with 65 electoral votes (Arizona, Michigan, New Hampshire, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin) are especially promising places for obtaining the 48 electoral votes needed before 2028.”

Under the compact, once the 270 threshold is reached:

• Participating states would award ALL their electoral votes to the national popular vote winner
• This would apply regardless of how voters in their own state actually voted
• In effect, state election results could be rendered meaningless

The Democrats’ big-city machines and open-border policies will decide who becomes President.

This is the same dangerous compact The Gateway Pundit has exposed time and again as a direct attack on the Republic. Back in 2019, we reported how Nevada’s Democrat Governor Steve Sisolak had the good sense to veto the scheme before it could gut smaller states’ influence.

Currently, more Christians are being systematically murdered in Nigeria than in all other countries of concern combined.

In 2025, over 7,000 Nigerian Christians were murdered by Islamic militants, including Boko Haram, also known as JAS, Islamic State – West African Province (ISWAP), JNIM, an Al-Qaeda affiliate, and Fulani and Koyam militias. Countless others have been abducted and held for ransom or never returned.

The problem has been described by prominent voices as “Islamization” and “Fulanization.” Violence in 2026 is already outpacing previous years, and with Nigerian general elections approaching, political tensions are high.

Federal and state intervention remains limited, and attacks continue on an almost daily basis across the North, East, and Middle Belt regions. Over Passion Week, violence struck Christian communities throughout the Middle Belt, specifically in Kaduna and Jos.

Open Doors documented 2,830 Christians kidnapped in 2024. In the first seven months of 2025 alone, Intersociety recorded 7,800 Christians kidnapped, approximately 35 per day.

The Observatory for Religious Freedom in Africa reported that over four years the Fulani Ethnic Militia alone carried out over 21,000 abductions in the North-Central Zone and Southern Kaduna, with return rates not publicly tracked. Of those taken, 91 Chibok girls remain unaccounted for, along with an unknown number from subsequent school kidnappings whose release was never confirmed.

Four kidnapped Catholic priests remain in captivity as of early 2026. Fr. John Bako Shekwolo has been missing since 2019, kidnapped from the Archdiocese of Kaduna.

Fr. Joseph Igweagu was taken in 2022 and has not been heard from since. Fr. Emmanuel Ezema remains in captivity with no confirmed release or proof of life. Fr. Nathaniel Asuwaye, parish priest of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Karku, Kaduna State, was kidnapped on February 7, 2026, when gunmen raided his parish and residence, and his status remains unconfirmed.

Between 2015 and 2025, at least 145 Catholic priests were kidnapped and 11 killed in Nigeria. Kaduna was the deadliest state, with 24 priests abducted and seven killed. In the Diocese of Minna alone, more than 90 churches have closed due to chronic insecurity.

Priests are targeted because they are easily identified, generally unprotected, and their communities make extraordinary efforts to raise ransom.

A communications director for one Nigerian diocese told Catholic News Agency: “It’s easier to kidnap priests, and give him little torture, and money will come out of it,” adding that no priest comes out of captivity without ransom being paid.

A diocese in Edo State reported that in the past decade, six of its priests had been kidnapped and tortured before release. Fr. Alphonsus Afina, kidnapped by Boko Haram in 2025, was confirmed alive through unofficial channels.

His diocese in Alaska reported he was recovering from wounds on his legs from being bound tightly when captured and had been allowed to speak by phone to confirm he was alive.

Not all captives survive. Gunmen abducted four seminarians from Good Shepherd Seminary in Kaduna and released three, but killed 18-year-old Michael Nnadi after he refused to renounce his Christian faith.

A man claiming responsibility later gave an interview stating he executed Nnadi because he would not stop proclaiming his faith in captivity.

Lay captives face the same conditions. One survivor of a church kidnapping in Kaduna stated: “After the terrorists took us from the church, we trekked for a long distance without food and water and those who couldn’t walk fast were flogged and brutalised by the terrorists. I have bad injuries on my head.”

Boys are raped and forced to become fighters. The UN documented 210 cases of conflict-related sexual violence in Nigeria in 2020 alone, including rape affecting 30 boys, with male victims recounted being held in a designated location where their role was to serve Boko Haram members sexually.

Amnesty International documented that boys are regularly conscripted, trained on weapons, and forced into combat operations against their own families and communities. Christian girls are given the choice of converting to Islam and marrying a jihadist fighter or slavery and repeated rape.

Human Rights Watch documented that Christian women and girls were singled out for abduction while Muslims were released, with unmarried Christian women held captive longer.

Some were subjected to forced conversion and marriage to Muslim men, or were murdered. Amnesty International documented one survivor who was raped repeatedly, sometimes by groups of up to six fighters.

The abduction of children follows the same pattern. On the night of April 14–15, 2014, Boko Haram kidnapped 276 mostly Christian schoolgirls from the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State.

As of a September 2025 UN CEDAW inquiry, 91 Chibok girls remain in captivity or their fate is unknown, with many confirmed to have been forced to marry fighters and give birth in captivity.

In 2018, Boko Haram abducted 110 girls from a school in Dapchi, Yobe State. All were eventually released except Leah Sharibu, the only Christian among them, held back after refusing to convert to Islam.

Eight years later, Sharibu remains in captivity, her condition described as harsh and degrading. ISWAP threatened to kill her or keep her as a slave for life.

Reports indicate she has been forcibly married to an ISWAP commander and gave birth to a second child in 2020 and a third in 2023. UNICEF reported that since 2013, more than 1,000 children had been abducted by Boko Haram alone in northeastern Nigeria.

Between April 2014 and December 2022, approximately 70 attacks on schools occurred, with more than 1,680 students abducted, over 180 children killed, 90 injured, and more than 90 still missing.

Between January 2023 and November 2025, Nigeria recorded 22 more verified attacks on educational institutions, with 816 additional students kidnapped, bringing the total since Chibok to approximately 2,496 students abducted across 92 school attacks.

On November 21, 2025, armed bandits stormed St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Niger State, abducting 303 children and 12 teachers, some as young as 10. All were released by December 22, 2025, though whether ransom was paid was not publicly confirmed.

According to SBM Intelligence, Nigeria’s kidnapping crisis has generated 2.56 billion naira, approximately $1.66 million, in confirmed ransom payments, with 4,722 civilians abducted in a single year. UNICEF reports that one in three Nigerian children is not in school, a figure the abduction crisis has worsened.

Murphy’s Law is an adage that basically stipulates “anything that can go wrong will go wrong.”

Soon-to-be former Rep. Eric Swalwell has been living that adage out this week, seeing his once-promising political career hit about six feet below rock bottom.

The progressive Californian both withdrew his nomination for California governor and announced his resignation from Congress this week after a deluge of allegations accusing Swalwell of sexually assaulting young female staffers.

Of note, Swalwell is married and has three children.

But while Swalwell has largely retreated from the public eye — presumably to work on his marriage in private — the public isn’t quite as done with him as he is with them.

In fact, in keeping with the theme of “when it rains, it pours,” gasoline has just been poured on one of those allegations that has torpedoed Swalwell’s career.

According to NBC News, a woman named Lonna Drewes came forward with some disturbingly graphic allegations against Swalwell.

“He raped me, and he choked me. And while he was choking me, I lost consciousness,” Drewes said during a Tuesday news conference.

She added, “I thought I died.”

Drewes claimed that Swalwell offered to help connect her to people who could aid with her software company. In fact, the first two meetings with Swalwell were perfectly pleasant and friendly, before the catastrophic encounter in a West Hollywood hotel.

An attorney for Swalwell has vehemently denied these claims.

“These accusations are false, fabricated and deeply offensive — a calculated and transparent political hit job,” Swalwell’s attorney said.

(Swalwell has hinted that he had failed his wife, but has largely denied allegations of assault or rape.)

But while Swalwell and his team are denying Drewes’ allegation, it might be a little harder to deny the paper trail that internet sleuths have dug up.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin and California Target Book Research Director Rob Pyers took to X and documented a receipt putting Swalwell at the time and place of the alleged Drewes rape.

“The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says the alleged rape of Lonna Drewes by Eric Swalwell took place in July 2018 in the 900 block of Hammond Street,” Melugin posted to X on Tuesday.

He then provided the critical context: “This comes back to the Montrose Hotel. Campaign finance expert [Rob Pyers] has flagged a travel expense from Swalwell’s campaign at the time, with FEC records showing ‘Swalwell for Congress’ spent $361 in travel expenses at the Montrose Hotel on July 18th, 2018.”

Swalwell has repeatedly denied claims of sexual assault and abuse, and has not been charged with any crimes as of yet.

Robert De Niro, Sean Penn, Jon Cryer, Kathy Griffin and many others poured tons of cash into Swalwell’s coffers and yet now that his campaign and career have imploded under a shocking scandal, they are all silent.

Let the record show that these people apparently do not care about victims of rape and sexual assault. What other conclusion could one possibly reach?

The paper points out that Sean Penn donated $15,000 to Swalwell and on several occasions met up with the California Democrat to show his support. Several others, such as Mad Men star Jon Hamm, rabid anti-Trumper Robert Di Nero, and Jon Cryer each donated $10,000 and often spoke up for Swalwell on social media and in interviews…

Disgraced comedienne Kathy Griffin also gave ten grand, as did TV producers David Bennet and Shawn Ryan, who both ponied up $10K. Before his shocking murder, film director Rob Reiner also gave the same amount to Swalwell. And Creative Artists Agency CEO Bryan Lourd topped them all by shelling out a $12,500 contribution.

The rebuild of fire-ravaged Los Angeles was supposed to be a record-breaker, according to state and city leaders who promised one of the fastest recoveries in California history.

Instead, it’s looking more like another embarrassment for public officials according to a new damning report released Monday.

The new analysis shows just 34 homes have gone up in Pacific Palisades and Altadena in the 15 months since the devastating wildfires tore through — a shockingly sluggish pace that lags behind recoveries from other previous major California infernos.

Even more troubling: fewer than half of the nearly 10,000 destroyed properties have even applied for rebuilding permits.

Gov. Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass hyped a comeback following the fires, “faster than ever before.” Not anymore.

“There’s certainly no chance of them being this outlier of fast recovery,” disaster expert Andrew Rumbach told Politico. “It’s not physically possible at this point.”

Joy Behar of The View just made some comments about Jesus Christ that were so off the wall that even her co-hosts chimed in to point out how wrong she was.

The ladies were complaining about Trump’s recent social media post in which he appeared to be presented in the image of Jesus. Naturally, this gave the cast of The View something to be outraged about, even though some people on the show are clearly not even qualified to discuss the topic.

Maybe Joy should stick to other topics that are easier for her.

ABC News’s joyless Joy Behar was on a roll Tuesday. Aside from claiming The View wasn’t a group you wanted to pick a fight with (despite them being too cowardly to invite conservatives on the show), the nagging crone suggested that Jesus Christ would be “narcissistic” if he had acknowledged he was the Messiah. She flaunted her profound ignorance because even after she was told that Jesus in fact did say he was the Messiah, she insisted that even the Messiah would be “narcissistic” for saying such.

The conversation was sparked by President Trump’s now-deleted Truth Social post where many argued that he was portrayed like Jesus. In an attempt to argue how un-Christ-like Trump was, Behar falsely claimed Jesus never acknowledged that he was the messiah:

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and President Donald Trump do not have a happy history, but Trump is urging congressional Republicans to extend one part of the law Trump says was not the one misused during the Russiagate hoax.

Trump made a public plea on Truth Social to extend Section 702 of FISA.

As noted by Politico, Trump followed that up by calling Republicans opposed to extending the law that allows warrantless wiretaps of non-U.S. citizens for the next 18 months to the White House.

“I am asking Republicans to UNIFY, and vote together on the test vote to bring a clean Bill to the floor. We need to stick together when this Bill comes before the House Rules Committee today to keep it CLEAN!” Trump wrote earlier in his Truth Social post.

“I was a victim of the worst and most illegal abuse of FISA in our Nation’s History, by Radical Left Lunatics, who lied to the FISA Court to spy on my 2016 Presidential Campaign in their attempt to RIG the Election in favor of Crooked Hillary Clinton. Their use of this instrument in the 2020 Presidential Election was even worse! When the Dirty Cop, James Comey, the failed Head of the FBI, went after me, he was using FISA Title I, the Domestic Collection, not FISA 702, the Foreign Collection, which needs to be extended today,” Trump continued.

“While parts of FISA were illegally and unfortunately used against me in the Democrats’ disgraceful Witch Hunt and Attack in the RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA Hoax, and perhaps would be used against me in the future, I am willing to risk that as a Citizen in order to do what is right for our Country,” he wrote.

Trump said that Section 702 is a tool the military needs.

“Our Military desperately needs FISA 702, and it is one of the reasons we have had such tremendous SUCCESS on the battlefield, both in Venezuela and Iran,” he wrote.

“Since the first day of my already Historic Second Term, my Administration has worked tirelessly to ensure these FISA Reforms are being aggressively executed at every level of the Executive Branch to keep Americans safe, while protecting our sacred Civil Liberties guaranteed by our Great Constitution,” he added.

“With the ongoing successful Military activities against the Terrorist Iranian Regime, it is more important than ever that we remain vigilant, PROTECT our Homeland, Troops, and Diplomats stationed abroad, and maintain our ability to quickly stop bad actors seeking to cause harm to our People and our Country,” Trump said.

“The fact is, whether you like FISA or not, it is extremely important to our Military. I have spoken to many Generals about this, and they consider it VITAL. Not one said, even tacitly, that they can do without it — especially right now with our brilliant Military Operation in Iran.”

Gen. Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, seconded Trump in a letter to legislators, according to Politico.

“The loss or reduction of FISA section 702 authorities would increase risk to the Joint Force, degrade our worldwide combat lethality, and significantly impair U.S. security,” Caine wrote.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley said he also wants a clean 18-month extension of Section 702, according to a news release on Grassley’s website.

The Iowa Republican noted that the Biden administration restricted congressional attendance at Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court and Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court of Review proceedings.

The Trump administration, he said, has lifted the restrictions he opposed.

“With Congress’s access fully restored, the Trump administration has faithfully implemented the reforms Congress called for in its last FISA reauthorization and proven its commitment to transparency and the protection of civil liberties,” Grassley said.

“Section 702 is one of our nation’s most valuable national security tools. Especially given the current threat environment, it’s imperative Congress doesn’t allow this critical authority to lapse,” he added.

“We must ensure American lives aren’t put at risk by a potential Section 702 expiration on April 20. The best path forward is for the House to pass a clean, 18-month FISA extension.”
