The United States, along with the other countries that make up the Shield of the Americas, condemned the "ongoing efforts" in Bolivia to "overthrow the legitimately and overwhelmingly elected" government of President Rodrigo Paz on Friday.

"The member countries of Shield of the Americas denounce ongoing efforts to overthrow the legitimately and overwhelmingly elected government of President Rodrigo Paz in Bolivia," the statement read. "We stand with Paz’s democratic government as it fights back against attempts to drag Bolivia backwards through cynical efforts to prevent the delivery of food, medicine and other vital supplies to the Bolivian people through fake road blockades."

The statement added that "Mob rule cannot replace the decision that a majority of Bolivians made at the ballot box to turn the page on two decades of corrupt governments."

It also said that anyone who is funding protests with "dirty money" from drug trafficking and transnational crime "should be held accountable. Those who have legitimate grievances should take advantage of the government’s willingness to dialogue, and denounce those who would abuse their causes to regain power."

The State Department made the joint statement along with Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guyana, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay, and Trinidad and Tobago.

The statement comes as Bolivia's capital, La Paz, has been rocked by weeks of social unrest as mass protests have blocked streets in major cities amid economic inflation and rising fuel prices.

Bolivian Defense Minister Marcelo Salinas resigned Tuesday.

Upon taking office, Paz supported a land reform bill to boost agribusiness that Indigenous farmers said put them at risk of eviction. He further scrapped fuel subsidies, sending prices surging by nearly 90%. Motorists complained that the gasoline was contaminated and ruined their cars.

The Trump administration has said drug traffickers are responsible for inciting the mass unrest.

Meanwhile, former President Evo Morales of the Movement for Socialism (MAS) party, the country's first Indigenous president who ruled for an unprecedented 14 years, is calling for early elections. "Paz only has two paths left: a suicidal decision like militarization or ... an election in the next 90 days," he wrote on X.

For almost two years now, Morales has been hiding out in Bolivia's central coca-growing Chapare region, evading an arrest warrant on human trafficking charges relating to allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old girl. He rejects the allegations as politically motivated.

On Thursday, War Secretary Pete Hegseth said in a post on X, that the War Department and the Americas Counter Cartel Coalition (A3C), a recently established multinational military and political alliance, reject all attempts to overthrow the government of Rodrigo Paz Pereira six months into his term.

"The United States is watching. Bolivia must not allow itself to fall prey to the old status quo of narco-terrorist dominance in the region," Hegseth wrote. "We will continue to support our A3C partners like Bolivia to ensure that narco-terrorists are deterred from profiting on death and destruction in our hemisphere."

Vice President JD Vance released a powerful statement on the tragic, anti-White murder of Henry Nowak.

UK police bodycam footage shows 18-year-old Henry Nowak pleading with officers after he was stabbed by a Sikh man named Vickrum Digwa.

Nowak, an accounting and finance student, was walking home from a night out in Southampton on December 3, 2025, when Digwa, 23, stabbed the teen 5 times with an 8-inch knife.

Digwa stabbed Nowak in the face, legs and chest.

Nowak tried to flee but he was bleeding profusely. When police arrived, Digwa told police that Nowak was a racist and knocked off his head wrap.

“We’ve just been attacked by someone racially, this [REDACTED]… we’ve been attacked racially by some white person,” Digwa’s brother told police in a 911 call.

Nowak told police that he had been stabbed, but police handcuffed him and dragged him away while he was bleeding out and dying.

“I can’t breathe!” “I’m dying!” the 18-year-old shouted as British police dragged him.

The police did not believe Nowak until it was too late.

“I don’t think you have, mate,” the officer told Nowak.

Moments later, Nowak is seen lying on the ground, lifeless.

Digwa was sentenced to life in prison

Die Plenarsitzung des Sankt Petersburger Internationalen Wirtschaftsforums am Freitag brachte mehrere aufsehenerregende Momente. Als Russlands Präsident Wladimir Putin über die Lage in der Ukraine sprach, berichtete er Dinge, die normalerweise nicht an die Öffentlichkeit gelangen. Außerdem erläuterte er, wie die russische Wirtschaft die aktuellen Schwierigkeiten überwinden wird.

Gleich zu Beginn wurde Russlands Präsident auf den offenen Brief von Wladimir Selenskij angesprochen. Putin bestätigte, dass sein Pressesprecher Dmitri Peskow ihm diesen Text am Vortag kurz gezeigt und er ihm "dieses Blatt" am Freitagmorgen wieder zugeschoben habe. Er habe es nur überflogen, das sei aber ausreichend, um öffentlich darauf zu reagieren.

Selenskij habe, bemerkte der Präsident, sein Alter angesprochen. Über das Alter müsse jeder nachdenken, erwiderte Putin darauf, aber:

"Mir scheint, dass in meinem Alter auch viele andere Politiker, einige sogar älter als ich, ihre Aufgaben wahrnehmen. Das Wichtigste ist die Arbeitsfähigkeit."

Was die Amtszeit angehe, die Selenskij ebenfalls thematisiert habe, sei die Antwort einfach:

"Man muss zur Wahl antreten. Andernfalls wird das Festhalten am höchsten Staatsamt als Usurpation bezeichnet."

Die ukrainische Seite habe selbst von baldigen Wahlen in ihrem Land gesprochen, erinnerte der Präsident, und sei dann verstummt.

Putin widersprach auch Selenskijs These, dass man in Europa nach Garanten suchen müsse, da Donald Trump diese Rolle verweigert werde: In Kiew sei man bereit, Waffen von den Vereinigten Staaten zu erhalten. Möglicherweise liege es daran, wie der amerikanische Präsident Selenskij "erzogen" habe, sogar im Hinblick auf die Kleiderordnung. Putin:

"Ständig 'Rambo: First Blood' zu inszenieren, mag natürlich manchmal angebracht sein, aber nicht überall."

Die ukrainische Seite habe eine öffentliche Diskussion angestoßen, erklärte der Präsident. Dies gebe ihm das Recht, offen zu sprechen. Vor drei Wochen habe ihn ein russischer Geschäftsmann angerufen – ein langjähriger Bekannter. Er sei nach Kiew eingeladen worden. Der Kreml, so präzisierte der Staatschef, habe ihn nicht dorthin geschickt. Dieser reiste dorthin, traf sich mit dem Chef des Kiewer Regimes und kehrte mit Neuigkeiten nach Moskau zurück:

"Abgesehen von allem Unwesentlichen ist das Wichtigste: Selenskij hat um ein Treffen gebeten."

Russland habe Verhandlungen nie abgelehnt, erinnerte der Präsident, aber niemand wolle erneut Abkommen wie jene von Minsk.

Putin bezeichnete es als irritierend, dass das Gespräch mit dem Geschäftsmann am 21. Mai stattgefunden habe. Am 22. Mai haben ukrainische Truppen das Studentenwohnheim in Starobelsk angegriffen, wobei Kinder und Jugendliche ums Leben kamen. Putin:

"Sie bitten um ein Treffen und morden."

Es mache daher derzeit keinen Sinn, sich mit Selenskij zu treffen. Wenden müsse man sich nicht an Kiew, sondern an das russische Militär an der Frontlinie:

"Das ganze Land blickt auf euch, ist stolz auf euch und setzt seine Hoffnungen in euch. Macht weiter so, Brüder!", sagte der Präsident unter dem Beifall des Saals.

Die Kampfhandlungen, zeigte er sich zuversichtlich, werden damit enden, dass Russland die Ziele erreicht, die es sich gesetzt hat. 

Auf die Frage der Moderatorin, ob Moskau den US-Präsidenten Donald Trump als "Chance auf Frieden" sehe, antwortete Putin:

"Hätte man Trump nicht um die Wahlen betrogen und hätte er 2020 die Macht behalten, wäre der Konflikt in der Ukraine vielleicht gar nicht erst ausgebrochen."

Die Angriffe der ukrainischen Seite richteten einigen Schaden an, räumte der russische Präsident ein, doch große Investoren setzten auf eine langfristige Perspektive. Die grundlegenden Rahmenbedingungen der russischen Wirtschaft blieben bestehen:

"Es gibt weder heute noch in naher Zukunft irgendwelche Gefahren für die russische Wirtschaft."

Auch von den antirussischen Sanktionen zeigte sich Wladimir Putin unbeeindruckt. Auf die Frage nach ihren Auswirkungen antwortete das Staatsoberhaupt, dass sie diejenigen stärker treffen, die sie verhängen:

"Sie haben 300 Milliarden eingefroren, während wir mittlerweile bereits über 500 Milliarden haben, wenn man den Dollarwert zugrunde legt."

Der Schaden für Europa durch Sanktionen belaufe sich seinen Angaben zufolge inzwischen auf 1,5 bis 2,5 Billionen Euro. 

Über die Frage, ob die Beziehungen zwischen Moskau und Peking "kolonialen" Charakter hätten, lachte Putin:

"Es ist lächerlich, über dieses Thema zu sprechen."

Zwischen beiden Ländern herrsche völlige Gleichberechtigung, betonte er, der Anteil russischer Hightech-Exporte nach China wachse stetig.

Der stellvertretende Vorsitzende der Volksrepublik China, Han Zheng, der ebenfalls am Panel teilnahm, fügte seinerseits hinzu: Die Zusammenarbeit entwickele sich bereits seit dreißig Jahren, sie sei für beide Seiten vorteilhaft und unterliege keinen äußeren Einflüssen.

Anschließend folgte der wohl lebhafteste Moment der Sitzung. Putin übernahm unerwartet selbst die Rolle des Moderators und bot den Gästen im Saal an, das Wort zu ergreifen. Der saudische Energieminister, Prinz Abdel Aziz bin Salman Al Saud, dankte Russland für die Möglichkeit, an der Veranstaltung teilzunehmen, und erklärte:

"Heute erleben wir zahlreiche Krisen, doch gemeinsam überwinden wir all diese Stürme. Wir werden zusammenbleiben, bis der Tod uns trennt."

Das Mikrofon wanderte weiter zum Vorsitzenden der US-Kommission für bildende Künste, Rodney Cook. "Sie haben mich nicht überrascht", reagierte der Amerikaner und sagte, er wolle Grüße von "Ihrem guten Freund – Präsident Trump" übermitteln. Putin erwiderte die Grußbotschaft. 

Zu Wort kam auch die ehemalige österreichische Außenministerin Karin Kneissl. Sie bedankte sich auf Russisch für die Gelegenheit und richtete eine Frage an den russischen Präsidenten: Sowohl Moskau als auch Kiew hätten bei Drohnen enorme Erfahrungen gesammelt. Drohnen seien heute in der Lage, riesige Entfernungen zurückzulegen, doch gebe es für diese Waffengattung keinen "Ehrenkodex" wie im Ersten Weltkrieg. Was hält der russische Präsident davon – und wie lässt sich der Einsatz von Drohnen einschränken?

Putin antwortete darauf kurz: Das seien die neuen Gegebenheiten, und die Reaktion darauf müsse entsprechend ausfallen – nämlich die Stärkung des Luftabwehrsystems, um das Staatsgebiet zu schützen. "Daran arbeiten wir", versicherte das Staatsoberhaupt.

Die darauffolgende Rede Putins war hauptsächlich wirtschaftlichen Themen gewidmet und der neuen Weltordnung, die im Entstehen begriffen ist: Das um westliche Finanzzentren herum aufgebaute System breche zusammen, die Welt durchlaufe den größten strukturellen Wandel der letzten Jahrzehnte. Dabei handele es sich nicht um einen Phasenwechsel im Konjunkturzyklus, sondern um einen "Paradigmenwechsel in der globalen Entwicklung".

Jahrzehntelang flossen Waren, Kapital und Informationen durch einen engen Kreis westlicher Infrastrukturknotenpunkte – selbst der Handel zwischen zwei eurasischen Ländern stützte sich auf Institutionen von Drittstaaten. Das System wurde als universell und neutral dargestellt, doch handelte es sich "um ein speziell geschaffenes System der Abhängigkeit oder der Ausbeutung von Ressourcen". Dieses neige sich nun seinem Ende zu, und dabei spielen die BRICS – Putin nannte konkrete Zahlen – eine herausragende Rolle. Der Warenhandel innerhalb der BRICS-Staaten hat bereits die Marke von einer Billion Dollar pro Jahr überschritten, und ihr Anteil am weltweiten BIP nach Kaufkraftparität liegt bei etwa 40 Prozent.

Der Präsident bezeichnete die Entwicklung der russischen Wirtschaft als "zurückhaltend", aber stabil. Das BIP sei im April um 1,3 Prozent gestiegen; die jährliche Inflationsrate werde Prognosen zufolge 5,2 Prozent nicht überschreiten, die Arbeitslosenquote liege bei 2,2 Prozent, was einer der niedrigsten Werte unter den Industrieländern sei. Die Reallöhne seien in fünf Jahren um 30 Prozent gestiegen und die Staatsverschuldung liege bei 16,4 Prozent des BIP, während sie in der Eurozone 81,7 erreicht habe. 

Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt der Rede lag auf der technologischen Souveränität. Putin bezeichnete künstliche Intelligenz, autonome Systeme und Plattformlösungen als die drei Schlüsseltechnologien der Zukunft. Zum Schluss der Rede appellierte der Präsident an die Teilnehmer, ihre eigene Trägheit zu überwinden und in allen Bereichen "so aktiv wie möglich" zu werden und "mit dem größtmöglichen Einsatz" zu handeln.

Leftists love a good boycott until, of course, it interferes with something they enjoy.

Last year, far-left Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson virtue-signaled her anti-capitalism “pro-labor” views to her base and urged them to boycott coffee giant Starbucks.

In November, while speaking at a Starbucks Workers United rally outside the recently closed Reserve Roastery on Capitol Hill, Wilson said, “That is why I am proud to join them on their picket line and proud to say loud and clear, I am not buying Starbucks and you should not either.”

In a recent interview, however, Wilson admitted she can’t even stay committed to her own performative woke directives.

During an interview published on Wednesday with FOX 13, Seattle co-anchor Hana Kim asked Wilson if she still supports the boycott.

“I had the pleasure of visiting the Pike Place Market Starbucks a little while ago, and I ordered, I think it was a blueberry muffin latte that was like a staff creation.”

“I guess I broke my boycott,” Wilson continued.

“And yeah, but I, you know, I don’t know. What do you want me to say about that?”

Wilson’s decision to prioritize wokeness over the economic interests of her community’s people has had real-world consequences.

Wilson, however, has laughed at the notion that millionaires are leaving the city over new and higher taxes supported by her and her cohorts, saying ‘Bye!’ as she shrugged it off glibly.

Er fügte hinzu, Russland solle seine finanzielle Souveränität stärken und eine Zahlungsinfrastruktur aufbauen, die weniger anfällig für Druck von außen sei.

Im Rahmen der Forumssitzung "Reassembling the Global Financial System" (deutsch: "Die Neuordnung des globalen Finanzsystems") diskutierte Tschistjuchin gemeinsam mit Regierungsvertretern, Ökonomen und Bankern über Alternativen zum westlich dominierten Finanzsystem.

Russland treibt den Aufbau einer eigenen Zahlungsinfrastruktur voran, seit viele Finanzinstitute des Landes nach der Eskalation des Ukraine-Konflikts im Jahr 2022 vom SWIFT-System ausgeschlossen wurden. Neben seinem Finanznachrichtennetzwerk SPFS hat Moskau das Zahlungssystem "Mir" ausgebaut und Initiativen rund um den digitalen Rubel sowie Kryptowährungen für grenzüberschreitende Transaktionen entwickelt.

Laut Tschistjuchin ist der Finanzsektor zu einem Instrument für Druck von außen geworden, und Russland benötige diversifizierte Plattformen, darunter mehr inländische Zahlungs- und Bewertungssysteme, um angesichts der westlichen Sanktionen widerstandsfähig zu bleiben.

"Irgendwann müssen diese Sanktionen ignoriert und nicht anerkannt werden", sagte er und fügte hinzu, dass 88 Prozent der Zahlungen Russlands an Partner aus befreundeten Ländern mittlerweile ohne die Währungen "unfreundlicher" Staaten abgewickelt würden, während bei 12 Prozent diese Währungen weiterhin zum Einsatz kämen.

Olga Gontscharowa vom Verband der russischen Banken erklärte, der Neuanfang habe bereits begonnen, da die Aufsichtsbehörden digitale Währungen und Kryptowährungen in rechtliche Rahmenbedingungen einbinden. Digitale Währungen sind zu einer wichtigen Umgehungslösung für russische und nicht-russische Banken geworden, die trotz der westlichen Bemühungen, Moskau zu isolieren, ihre Handelsströme aufrechterhalten wollen. Gontscharowa verwies auf den versuchsweisen grenzüberschreitenden Einsatz sowie auf einen Offshore-Rubel-Stablecoin als Teil einer Verlagerung hin zu Abrechnungen in Landeswährung.

Der Wirtschaftskommentator Alexei Bobrowski wies darauf hin, dass finanzielle Waffen schon in der Vergangenheit eingesetzt wurden, und führte als Beispiel an, wie die USA im 20. Jahrhundert das britische Pfund Sterling "zerstört" hätten. Er erklärte, dass Länder solche Instrumente nun als festen Bestandteil des globalen Finanzwesens betrachten müssten. Er fügte hinzu, dass Kryptowährungen aufgrund hoher Energiekosten traditionelle Währungen nicht vollständig ersetzen könnten, und prognostizierte, dass sich die Welt in Richtung einer Mischung aus traditionellen Währungen, die durch digitale Vermögenswerte gestützt werden, entwickeln werde.

Der stellvertretende Finanzminister Iwan Tschebeskow erklärte, die Welt bewege sich bereits in Richtung dezentraler Plattformen und stärker national ausgerichteter Instrumente, doch dieser Prozess werde Jahre dauern und sei nicht einfach.

President Trump will participate in a roundtable event on American agriculture in western Wisconsin this afternoon. 

The event in Chippewa Falls, part of Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District, comes as Democrats target the congressional seat held by Rep. Derrick Van Orden.

Trump is taking his pro-American agriculture on the road ahead of the midterms.

Per CBS:

WCCO’s sister station in Milwaukee, WDJT, spoke with farmers and residents ahead of the president’s visit in Chippewa County, where he locked down more than 60% of the vote in 2024. Most said they support him and his policies, but many said they want to hear his “plans to help the little guy.”

“I have faith in it, you know what I mean?” said Chippewa Falls resident Peggy Peters. “I haven’t seen a whole lot recently, but I think it is going to happen, if that makes any sense. You know, something that is a work in progress, obviously. You know, he has a lot to do.”

“Under my leadership, we are making landmark investments to empower farmers to Make America Healthy Again by improving soil health, enhancing water quality, and strengthening our food and fiber supply — all while boosting long-term efficiency. We are forging a prosperous future defined by fair trade, new markets for homegrown commodities, and enhanced supply chain resilience to protect our Nation’s most cherished resources.” Trump said in a proclamation last week on National Agriculture Day.

“We are also putting an end to the era of excessive regulations that have stifled productivity, increased equipment costs, and left American farmers and ranchers behind. And to further support our incredible farmers, I proudly delivered over $40 billion in assistance after they endured years of unfair trade practices from foreign countries and failed policies from the previous administration,” Trump wrote.

“I will never waver in putting American farmers, American families, and the American people first.”

Trump has imposed tariffs on foreign agricultural goods to boost investment in American agriculture and support American farmers.

The event is scheduled to begin at 3 pm ET.
