Iran is losing an estimated $1.56 million every hour because of its state-imposed internet blackout, draining its struggling economy and disrupting life for more than 90 million people, according to an internet privacy analyst.

The prolonged disruptions originated amid spiraling protests through January with losses he claimed were continuing even after partial connectivity was restored.

"The current blackout is costing Iran an estimated $37.4 million per day, or $1.56 million every hour," Simon Migliano, head of research at PrivacyCo, told Fox News Digital. "The full internet blackout itself cost Iran more than $780 million, and the subsequent strict filtering continues to have a significant additional economic impact."

"Iran has already drained $215 million from its economy in 2025 by disrupting internet access," the internet privacy and security analyst added.

Migliano said his estimates were calculated using the NetBlocks COST tool, an economic model that measures the immediate impact on a nation’s gross domestic product when its digital economy is forced offline.

The model assesses direct losses to productivity, online transactions and remote work, drawing on data from the World Bank, the International Telecommunication Union, Eurostat and the U.S. Census Bureau.

Iranian authorities abruptly cut off communications on the night of Jan. 8 amid widespread protests against the clerical regime.

While officials later restored much of the country’s domestic bandwidth, as well as local and international phone calls and SMS messaging, the population is largely unable to freely access the internet because of heavy state filtering.

"The recent 579% surge in VPN demand reflects a scramble for digital survival," Migliano said before describing how even when access is briefly restored, the internet remains "heavily censored and effectively unusable without circumvention tools such as VPNs."

"We can see spikes showing that as soon as connectivity returned, users immediately sought VPNs to reach sites and services outside the state-controlled network, including global platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram that remain otherwise inaccessible," he added.

"Sustained demand — averaging 427% above normal levels — indicates Iranians are stockpiling circumvention tools in anticipation of further blackouts," Migliano said.

"The usual strategy is to download as many free tools as possible and cycle between them. It becomes a cat-and-mouse game, as the government blocks individual VPN servers and providers rotate IP addresses to stay ahead of the censors," he added.

Iran’s minister of information and communications technology, Sattar Hashemi, acknowledged the economic toll caused by the blackout tactics.

He said recent outages were inflicting roughly "5,000 billion rials" a day in losses to the digital economy and nearly 50 trillion rials on the wider economy, according to Iran International.

"Iran’s three-week internet blackout may have been lifted, but connectivity remains severely disrupted still," Migliano claimed.

"Access is still heavily filtered. It is restricted to a government-approved ‘whitelist’ of sites and apps and the connection itself remains highly unstable throughout the day," he added.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced sweeping plans at the World Government Summit in Dubai to hold social media executives criminally liable and curb platform algorithms, prompting a sharp and profane response from X owner Elon Musk.

Sánchez laid out five measures in a speech, with implementation set to begin next week.

"Dirty Sánchez is a tyrant and traitor to the people of Spain," Musk wrote on X, using an explicit insult and a poop emoji.

Sánchez framed the proposals by describing social media as a lawless digital ecosystem, arguing that platforms have become a "failed state" where disinformation, hate speech and criminal activity flourish without accountability.

Sánchez also appeared to take aim at Musk directly, criticizing the X owner for amplifying what he described as false claims about Spain’s immigration policy and allowing harmful content to spread on the platform.

"Just last week, the owner of X, a migrant himself, used his personal account to amplify disinformation about the sovereign decision by my government, the regularization of 500,000 migrants that live, work and contribute to the success of our country," Sánchez said.

Under the plan, Spain would first amend its laws to hold platform executives criminally liable for failing to remove illegal or hateful content, exposing executives to potential prosecution.

Sánchez said governments must stop turning "a blind eye to the toxic content shared under their watch."

Second, Spain would make the algorithmic manipulation and amplification of illegal content a new criminal offense, targeting both disinformation actors and the platforms whose systems promote their content for profit.

"Disinformation doesn’t appear by itself," Sánchez said. "It is created, promoted and spread by certain actors."

Third, Sánchez announced the creation of a "hate and polarization footprint," a system to track and quantify how platforms fuel division and spread hate, which would serve as the basis for future legal and financial penalties.

"For too long, hate has been treated as invisible and untraceable," Sánchez said. "Spreading hate must come at a cost."

Fourth, Spain will ban access to social media for children under 16, requiring mandatory age-verification systems that Sánchez said must function as real barriers, not simple check boxes.

"Today, our children are exposed to a space they were never meant to navigate alone," Sánchez said, describing social media as a realm of "addiction, abuse, pornography, manipulation [and] violence."

Finally, Sánchez said his government will work with public prosecutors to investigate alleged violations by Grok, TikTok and Instagram, vowing zero tolerance and warning that Spain would defend its digital sovereignty against foreign interference.

"We are fighting back," he said. "And we will continue to do so."

Leaked documents from the Iranian regime reveal a coordinated plan by its security apparatus, approved by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to violently suppress nationwide protests using force, surveillance and internet shutdowns.

Excerpts of the documents, reviewed by Fox News Digital, show that Iran’s Supreme National Security Council developed the strategy after the 2019 nationwide protests that came amid fuel price hikes and economic collapse.

At a National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) press briefing Tuesday covering the regime’s pre-planned orders behind the protests and mass killings, Alireza Jafarzadeh, deputy director of the Washington office, said the documents "were obtained from within the regime" and later cited The People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK) as having gained access to them.

"This Directive by the National Security Council was obtained by the network in Iran of the MEK, which has access to sources within the regime," he confirmed to Fox News Digital.

"These documents show the regime's efforts to prevent the resurgence of the uprising and, if it occurred, to suppress it," Jafarzadeh added before stating that there are "clear operational plans allocated to the IRGC to use lethal force to kill as many people as needed to stay in power."

The first document, classified "top secret," was issued Mar. 3, 2021, with the regime codifying four escalating law enforcement and security conditions. The regime defined how unrest would be handled and which authorities would be in command at each stage.

Initial law enforcement and non-armed security situations placed command authority with Iran’s national police force, with support from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Intelligence Ministry (VAJA).

In the most severe category, designated an "armed security situation," full command authority rapidly shifted to the IRGC.

"For now, this compilation should be communicated for two years," Khamenei wrote before ordering the blueprint implemented nationwide.

The secret guidelines became the blueprint for crushing the January 2026 protests, which erupted amid soaring inflation, currency collapse and anger toward clerical rule.

According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), at least 6,854 people have been killed during the protests, with 11,280 cases under investigation.

Internal regime assessments cited in other leaked files describe three phases of the 2026 uprising: an initial law enforcement phase, followed by a non-armed security phase and finally an armed security situation beginning Jan. 8 when authority shifted fully to the IRGC that played the command role and carried out armed killings.

The documents specify that during armed security situations, the IRGC operated with support from other security bodies, while Iran’s Ministry of Communications was ordered to impose internet restrictions, including full shutdowns.

A second classified document, compiled in 2024 by the IRGC’s Sarallah Headquarters, reveals how far the regime went to prepare for dissent.

The 129-page "Comprehensive Security Plan of Tehran" details extensive surveillance and repression measures, identifying members of the opposition MEK and family members of executed dissidents as "level number one" enemies subject to monitoring and control.

"It also shows how far the regime is prepared to go to kill as many people as needed, which they did in January 2026. However, these killings further convinced the people that there is only one way to end the killings, and that is to overthrow the regime," Jafarzadeh added.

"There are more people, especially young ones, who have joined the ranks of the organized force to confront the IRGC and liberate the nation," he said.

A House Foreign Affairs Middle East and North Africa Subcommittee hearing on Tuesday underscored what lawmakers and witnesses repeatedly described as a "historic" but "narrowing" opportunity to weaken Hezbollah and restore Lebanese state sovereignty, while exposing sharp disagreement over whether current U.S. policy is moving fast or forcefully enough.

Opening the hearing, Chairman Mike Lawler, R-NY., said Lebanon is "at a crossroads" following the Nov. 2024 Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire, arguing the moment offers "an unprecedented opportunity" to help Lebanon "break free of the shackles of Iran’s malign influence." He warned, however, that progress has been uneven, saying implementation of the Lebanese Armed Forces’ has been "haphazard at best."

The ranking member, Rep. Brad Sherman, D-Calif., struck a more confrontational tone toward the administration, warning that Hezbollah is already rebuilding and that U.S. policy risks squandering the moment.

"There is a historic opportunity in Lebanon to disarm Hezbollah and remove its grip on the Lebanese state," he said. "That window of opportunity, however, is narrow. Hezbollah is working hard to rebuild, rearm and to reconstitute itself."

He criticized cuts to non-security assistance and faulted comments by a Trump administration envoy who described Hezbollah as "a political party that also has a militant aspect to it," arguing such language "sent the wrong signals" at a critical moment.

David Schenker, senior fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, testified that while Hezbollah has been weakened militarily, the pace of disarmament remains slow and obstructed.

"The LAF has a presence in the south that it didn’t have prior to November 2024," Schenker said. "But they are not in control. Hezbollah still controls the region."

Schenker said the obstacle is no longer capability but political will. "At this point, the question of disarmament is not a matter of capability but of will," he told lawmakers, warning that Hezbollah continues to thrive amid corruption and a cash-based economy.

Hanin Ghaddar, senior fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, said that even full weapons surrender would not dismantle Hezbollah’s power.

"Hezbollah is not sustained by weapons alone," Ghaddar said. "It survives through an economic and political ecosystem that protects cash flows, penetrates state institutions and enables military rebuilding."

She warned that Lebanon’s unregulated cash economy has become Hezbollah’s most durable asset. "Weapons can be collected, but money keeps flowing," Ghaddar said. "Disarmament without dismantling the cash economy… will not be durable."

All three witnesses emphasized U.S. support should be tied to measurable performance such as progress on disarmament of Hezbollah and economic reform.

Schenker called for renewed sanctions against corrupt Lebanese officials, saying, "We should be sanctioning leaders right now… who are obstructing reform."

Dana Stroul, director of research and senior fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, warned that Washington’s approach remains incomplete.

"For the past year, U.S. policy has focused on Hezbollah disarmament, which is critical, but on its own is only a partial strategy," Stroul said.

She cautioned that upcoming parliamentary elections could either "strengthen or undermine the anti-Hezbollah government," calling it the "worst-case outcome" if Hezbollah-aligned politicians retain power.

Ghaddar said Hezbollah’s weakening has shifted Lebanese public discourse. "The mythology of resistance has shattered," she said. "Peace is no longer taboo."

She argued that normalization with Israel would raise the political cost of Hezbollah’s rearmament and help lock in reform. "Without a credible peace horizon, disarmament and economic reform will be temporary. With one, they become structural," Ghaddar said.

Quadriga 2026

Der Operationsraum des diesjährigen Quadriga-Manövers erstreckt sich nach Angaben der Bundeswehr auf Deutschland, Litauen sowie Nord- und Ostsee. Dabei sind rund 1.000 Soldaten im Einsatz, darunter auch Soldaten anderer Staaten. Verglichen mit den Großmanövern der vergangenen Jahre sind das wenige; an Quadriga 2024 beispielsweise nahmen 12.000 Militärs teil. Im Fokus steht, so heißt es, die „kurzfristige Verlegung unmittelbar kampfbereiter Einsatzkräfte auf allen Transportwegen“ nach Litauen und damit in Richtung russische Westgrenze.[1] In Litauen ist die Bundeswehr seit 2017 stationiert und baut diese Präsenz seit einigen Jahren zu Deutschlands erstem dauerhaften Militärstützpunkt im Ausland aus.[2] Die Kräfte des Heeres, die nach Litauen verlegt werden, sind laut Bundeswehr „so stark bewaffnet, dass sie auch gegen einen starken Feind bestehen können“. Teil des Manövers ist nicht nur die kurzfristige und schnelle Verlegung nach Osten, sondern auch die „sofortige Erprobung der Einsatzbereitschaft als Kampfverband“ sowie die Rückverlegung von Verwundeten von der Ostfront nach Deutschland ins zivile Gesundheitssystem. Darüber hinaus gibt die Bundeswehr an, ihre Spezialkräfte trainierten im Rahmen des Manövers mit Blick auf einen Krieg gegen Russland „urbane und maritime Spezialoperationen“.[3]

Auf ein einheitliches Ziel ausgerichtet

Manöver waren bis jetzt in der Regel einer der Teilstreitkräfte zugeordnet – also explizit als Marine-, Heeres- oder Luftwaffenmanöver konzipiert. Mit ihrer diesjährigen Quadriga-Übung verzahnt die deutsche Armee die Führungsebenen ihrer Teilstreitkräfte im vor zwei Jahren aufgestellten Operativen Führungskommando der Bundeswehr, das ab diesem Jahr die Quadriga-Manöverreihe befehligen wird. Als Befehlshaber des Kommandos sei es ihm nun möglich, „die Kräfte und Fähigkeiten der Bundeswehr auf ein Ziel, einen militärischen Effekt auszurichten“, erklärt Generalleutnant Alexander Sollfrank. Das Operative Führungskommando vernetzt dabei nicht nur die Teilstreitkräfte miteinander, sondern auch die Armee als Ganzes mit „zivilen Sicherheitsorganen wie Bundespolizei und Zoll“.[4]

Nicht mehr fiktiv

Dieses Jahr ist Quadriga, wie die Bundeswehr bekanntgibt, zum ersten Mal „nicht mehr als reine Übung, sondern als einsatznahe Operation angelegt. Das bedeutet, dass so nah wie möglich am Ernstfall geübt wird – ohne lange Vorlaufzeiten und fiktive Parameter“.[5] Auch dem NATO-Manöver Steadfast Dart, mit dem Quadriga „eng verknüpft“ ist, liege „kein fiktives Übungsszenario“ mehr zugrunde, heißt es. Es werde ebenfalls „als Operation geplant und geführt“.[6] Entsprechend sei die Unterstützung der deutschen Soldaten für NATO-Eingreiftruppen beim „einsatznahen Verlegen … durch Europa“ kein „Übungsbestandteil“, sondern laufe „als Realunterstützung ab“, teilt die Bundeswehr mit. Das legt nahe, dass die Zahl der tatsächlich an dem Manöver beteiligten Soldaten höher ist als die offiziell für Quadriga 2026 angegebene Zahl. Die erwähnten NATO-Truppen werden nach ihrer Verlegung an das Bundeswehrmanöver Quadriga andocken.[7]

Militärische Operationen im öffentlichen Raum

Unabhängig von Quadriga trainiert noch bis Mitte dieser Woche eine deutsche Panzerbrigade mit 1.200 Soldaten und 280 Rad- und Kettenfahrzeugen bei einer sogenannten „freilaufenden Gefechtsübung“ („Brave Lion“) in der Nähe von Lüneburg. Die Armee bewegt sich dabei nach eigenen Angaben „sowohl auf öffentlichen Straßen als auch im Gelände“. Es komme, so heißt es, „Übungsmunition … zum Einsatz“. Dabei bittet die Armee die Bevölkerung um „Verständnis und Rücksichtnahme“. Die Gefechtsübung sei Teil der „fortlaufenden Maßnahmen zur Herstellung der Kriegstüchtigkeit bis 2029“.[8] Bereits vom 11. bis zum 23. Januar hatte die Bundeswehr zwei Wochen lang den gesamten Landkreis Potsdam-Mittelmark zum militärischen Übungsgebiet erklärt. Teil der Übung waren auch Munitionseinsätze im öffentlichen Raum; die Lokalpresse verbreitete ein Antragsformular für „Ersatzleistungen bei Übungsschäden“.[9] Im vergangenen November hatten deutsche Soldaten in Berlin „im öffentlichen Raum“ nach eigenen Angaben „Sabotageabwehr“ und „Häuserkampf“ trainiert und dabei sogar die Berliner U-Bahnstation „Jungfernheide“ gestürmt.[10]

Scharf geschossen

Zuvor hatten Bundeswehrsoldaten im Oktober im Rahmen einer Übung im öffentlichen Raum mit Platzmunition auf Polizisten geschossen, deren Präsenz sie irrtümlich für einen Teil der Übung hielten. In Wirklichkeit war die Polizei aufgrund eines Notrufes eines Zivilisten ausgerückt, der einen schwer bewaffneten Vermummten gesehen, ihn aber nicht als Manöverteilnehmer identifiziert hatte. Als bei dem Vorfall ein Polizist scharf zurückschoss, verletzte er einen Soldaten.[11] Bereits im September hatte die Bundeswehr im Hamburger Hafen und der Hamburger Innenstadt trainiert. Bilder zeigen Straßenblockaden fiktiver Demonstranten als Teil der militärischen Übung.[12]

Noch nicht ganz im Krieg

Auf welcher verfassungsrechtlichen Grundlage die Armee immer häufiger militärische Operationen wie die erwähnten „freilaufenden“ Manöver im öffentlichen Raum im Inland durchführt – mögliche Schäden für Zivilpersonen inklusive –, dazu schweigen Bundeswehr und Verteidigungsministerium. Das Ausrufen des Spannungsfalles, der dem Militär größere Freiheiten einräumt, hatte im Herbst vergangenen Jahres der in militärpolitischen Kreisen der Bundesrepublik bestens vernetzte CDU-Außenpolitiker Roderich Kiesewetter – ein ehemaliger Oberst der Bundeswehr, in führenden Positionen unter anderem aktiv im Reservistenverband und in der Bundesakademie für Sicherheitspolitik (BAKS) – anlässlich angeblich von Russland durchgeführter Drohnenüberflüge gefordert. Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz und führende Geheimdienstler sprachen damals anlässlich angeblicher hybrider Angriffe Russlands davon, Deutschland sei „nicht mehr ganz im Frieden, noch nicht ganz im Krieg“. Diesen Satz hatte bereits 2022 der heutige Generalinspekteur der Bundeswehr, Carsten Breuer, in die öffentliche Debatte eingeführt.[13] Der Präsident des Bundesamts für Verfassungsschutz, Sinan Selen, behauptet, die angeblichen „hybriden Angriffe“ Russlands zeichneten sich genau dadurch aus, dass sich eine russische Täterschaft nicht beweisen ließe.[14] Damit verschwimmt freilich auch die Grenze zwischen Aktivitäten deutscher Bürger und der Einstufung dieser Aktivitäten als angebliche Sabotage ausländischer Agenten.

„Können Sie Krieg?“

Bereits im vergangenen Jahr hatte Bundeswehr-Generalinspekteur Breuer in einem „Bürgerdialog“ erklärt: „Dieses K-Wort, das hatten wir doch verdrängt. Das wollten wir doch eigentlich gar nicht mehr“. Breuer fuhr fort: „Sind Sie wehrhaft? Sind Sie kriegstüchtig? Können Sie Krieg? Können wir Krieg?“[15] Anstelle der formal fiktiven, diplomatisch vagen Übungszenarien früherer Großmanöver wird der Krieg mit Russland in der Bundeswehr inzwischen als reales Zukunftsszenario gehandhabt. Zudem wird er in den Leitmedien als gangbare Option diskutiert. „Wie würde Deutschland im Krieg funktionieren?“, lautet etwa der Titel einer Sendung im Deutschlandfunk. Der Bayrische Rundfunk informiert in einem Beitrag mit dem Titel „Was passiert, wenn Deutschland im Krieg ist?“, wie man sich am besten auf einen Krieg vorbereite: „ein paar Basics zuhause haben, sich mit der Familie absprechen, wo man sich trifft, wenn’s hart auf hart kommt“, heißt es flapsig in dem Erklärvideo. „Denn die Alternative – aufgeben oder Kopf in den Sand –, das ist keine Option“.

Dr. Kelly Victory did everything right.

When Secretary of War Pete Hegseth took office a year ago, matching new technologies to threats was one of his core priorities. He commissioned an acquisition strategy to swiftly outfit our combat units with lethal drones.

The War Department today announced the 25 vendors invited to compete in Phase I of the Drone Dominance Program (DDP), an acquisition reform effort designed to rapidly field low-cost, unmanned, one-way attack drones at scale as part of strengthening America’s Arsenal of Freedom.

“Drone dominance is a process race as much as a technological race,” Secretary of War Pete Hegseth wrote in his July 2025 memorandum, Unleashing U.S. Military Drone Dominance. “We are buying what works—fast, at scale, and without bureaucratic delay. Lethality will not be hindered by self-imposed restrictions.”

The Phase I evaluation—the Gauntlet—will begin 18 February at Fort Benning, where military operators will fly and evaluate vendor systems. The Gauntlet will conclude in early March, when approximately $150 million in prototype delivery orders will be placed, with deliveries beginning shortly thereafter and continuing over the following five months.

Drone Dominance operationalizes the Secretary of War’s acquisition reform priorities by sending a clear demand signal to industry—$1.1 billion over four phases, placing warfighters at the center of evaluation, and driving competitive, iterative cycles measured in months, not years. Across the program’s four phases, unit prices decrease, production volumes increase, and operational capability rises.

By 2027, the Department will be fielding hundreds of thousands of weaponized, one-way attack drones ready for combat.

The Drone Dominance Program is sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of War and executed by the Defense Innovation Unit, the Test Resource Management Center, and Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division.

The funding is ready and steady. The timeline to build combat power is compressed. The competition begins now.

Democrat Rep. Jerrold Nadler (NY) on Tuesday said Americans would be justified in shooting masked ICE agents.

“What is really the major problem in this country today is the fascism in our streets,” Nadler said during a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday.

“The attacks on American citizens by masked hoodlums. If you were attacked by a masked person, you might think you were being kidnapped,” Nadler said.

“You’d be justified in shooting the person to protect yourself,” Nadler added.

Nadler referenced the fatal shooting of Renee Good, the anti-ICE agitator who tried to run over an ICE agent in Minneapolis.

DHS agents also fatally shot Alex Pretti, an armed anti-ICE agitator who impeded an immigration operation and resisted arrest.

“We see people being shot! For what? For driving a car?” Nadler said.

“We see these ICE goons breaking into people’s homes without a warrant. You see them drag out a man – an American citizen in his underwear in the snow without even permitting him to get dressed!” Nadler said.

ICE agents face an 8,000% increase in death threats against them and their family members, the DHS said.

Calls for violence against ICE agents coming from Democrats like Jerry Nadler are contributing to the shootouts and car ramming incidents.

“The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released a threatening voicemail left for an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer in Minnesota on January 24,” the DHS said.

“Our law enforcement officers are now facing an 8,000% increase in death threats against them and a more than 1,300% increase in assaults against them while they put their lives on the line to remove murderers, pedophiles, rapists, gang members, and terrorists from American neighborhoods,” the DHS said.

TMZ received a ransom note demanding a massive payment – in Bitcoin – for the release of Nancy Guthrie.

84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, mother of NBC’s “Today” show anchor Savannah Guthrie, was last seen on Saturday night.

The elder Guthrie went ‘missing’ from her Pima County, Arizona, home over the weekend and law enforcement described it as a ‘crime scene.’

Authorities said there are signs of forced entry and blood was found inside the Pima County home.

On Tuesday, police said during a press conference that they have not ruled out a ransom.

“We’re following all leads we have,” Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said on Tuesday.

“We are sharing all of our leads with the FBI,” he added.

Later Tuesday, TMZ received a ransom not demanding a “substantial” amount of Bitcoin in exchange for the release of Guthrie.

TMZ said the ransom note revealed details about the crime scene.

Another scary twist in the disappearance of “TODAY” host Savannah Guthrie’s kidnapped mother … TMZ has received an alleged ransom note demanding payment for the release of Nancy Guthrie.

The note, which was sent to us Tuesday morning, demands a specific substantial amount of Bitcoin … the amount is in the millions, and the note demands the cryptocurrency be sent to a specific Bitcoin address.

TMZ has verified the Bitcoin address is real.

There is a deadline connected to the alleged ransom … and an element of “or else.”

In the moment on our live stream above, Harvey and Charles said she was wearing an item mentioned in the note. In fact, the note says she was not wearing it.

The alleged ransom note also describes another item the sender says was damaged at her Tucson-area home.

The House of Representatives has voted 217-214 to partially fund the government and end the partial shutdown. 

The bill now heads to Trump’s desk, and he is expected to sign it today.

21 Republicans voted against the bill, including Andy Biggs of Arizona, Lauren Boebert of Colorado, Josh Brecheen of Oklahoma, Tim Burchett of Tennessee, Eric Burlison of Missouri, Kat Cammack of Florida, Eli Crane of Arizona, Byron Donalds of Florida, Randy Fine of Florida, Brandon Gill of Texas, Anna Paulina Luna of Florida, Thomas Massie of Kentucky, Cory Mills of Florida, Andy Ogles of Tennessee, Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, Chip Roy of Texas, David Schweikert of Arizona, Keith Self of Texas, Victoria Spartz of Indiana, Greg Steube of Florida, and William Timmons of South Carolina.

21 Democrats also voted in favor.

The bill only funds the Department of Homeland Security until February 13.

Democrats are demanding reforms to ICE including unmasking agents, forcing them to wear body cameras during immigration, and forcing them to obtain warrants from a judge as opposed to administrative warrants against criminal illegal aliens.

On Monday, Kristi Noem announced that the Trump Administration has already partially caved to Democrats’ demands, forcing ICE agents in Minneapolis to immediately wear body-worn cameras, and body cameras will be worn by DHS law enforcement across the country once funding is available. Hopefully, this will show what kind of circumstances ICE agents face when anti-ICE radicals attack them, but it will surely bring more scrutiny to our brave American heroes as they attempt to remove violent criminals from the country.

House Speaker Mike Johnson said he plans to negotiate with Democrats to have the Department of Homeland Security funded before funding lapses.

Per CBS:

Johnson told reporters that any attempt by Democrats to hold up long-term funding for DHS over objections to immigration enforcement would be futile, because ICE and CBP received an influx of money in last year’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act. He said the agencies that would be affected carry out important services like disaster aid and airport security.

“So they have enough funding to go for the next few years,” he said of immigration agencies. “So what they will be tying up, if the Democrats choose to close the government, is these very essential services for everything else – FEMA, Coast Guard, TSA and other aspects of national security.”

The legislation passed last year included $75 billion for ICE and $65 billion for CBP, well beyond their annual allotments.

“This is no time to play games with that funding,” Johnson said. “We hope that they will operate in good faith over the next 10 days.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump on Monday called for Republicans to pass the Senate-passed funding deal without any changes.

“There can be NO CHANGES at this time. We will work together in good faith to address the issues that have been raised, but we cannot have another long, pointless, and destructive Shutdown that will hurt our Country so badly — One that will not benefit Republicans or Democrats. I hope everyone will vote, YES!” Trump said.

On Monday The Gateway Pundit’s Cristina Laila reported that Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche fired Ed Martin as Chief of the Justice Department’s Weaponization Working Group. This was first reported by investigative reporter Paul Sperry.

Last May President Trump tapped Ed Martin to be the US Pardon Attorney after RINO Senator Thom Tillis derailed his nomination for DC US Attorney. He was also personally named by Trump to serve as the Justice Department’s Director of the Weaponization Working Group.

Then on Monday it was reported that Ed Martin was removed from his role as Chief of Weaponization at the DOJ.

A DOJ spokesperson said Ed Martin is still at the Department as the Pardon Attorney.

But there is more to this story.

On Tuesday, Paul Sperry tweeted out a shocking development: That Todd Blanche DID NOT tell the Trump White House that he removed Ed Martin from from the Weaponization Group. This was after President Trump personally hired Ed Martin for the committee.

Police in the United Kingdom announced a criminal investigation Tuesday into Peter Mandelson, Britain's former ambassador to the United States, after the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) released millions of court documents related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Metropolitan Police Cmdr. Ella Marriot in London said following the DOJ documents dump, the Met received "a number of reports" into alleged misconduct in public office, including a referral from the UK government.

"I can confirm that the Metropolitan Police has now launched an investigation into a 72-year-old man, a former Government Minister, for misconduct in public office offenses," Marriot wrote in a statement.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer abruptly fired Mandelson from his ambassadorial position in September following the release of emails between Mandelson and Epstein.

Starmer on Monday requested an urgent review of Mandelson’s communications with Epstein while he was in office.

The House of Lords announced on Tuesday Mandelson is stepping down.

"He will cease to be a member tomorrow," the House of Lords told Fox News Digital. "We have no comment on any possible police investigation."

Epstein died by suicide in 2019 while in federal custody.

He was awaiting trial on charges including sex trafficking of minors and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors.

ICE agents arrested an illegal alien, a New Orleans Police Department recruit, who was illegally given a gun.

Larry Temah, the 46-year-old illegal alien from Cameroon, was just one week away from graduating from the police academy.

The DHS said in a comment to Fox News: “This illegal alien from Cameroon, Larry Temah, is not only breaking the law with every step he takes in this country illegally, but the New Orleans Police Department hired him and issued him a firearm – what kind of law enforcement department gives criminal illegal aliens guns and badges? It’s a FELONY for illegal aliens to even possess a firearm. Sanctuary cities like New Orleans ignore ICE detainers and are protecting illegal aliens at the expense of American citizens.”

ICE confirms to Fox News that they’ve arrested a New Orleans Police Department recruit who they say is an illegal alien from Cameroon with an active deportation order & no work authorization, & they say he was illegally given a gun by New Orleans PD.

ICE says 46-year-old Larry Temah was one week away from graduating the New Orleans PD academy when they arrested him.

They say Temah first entered the US legally in 2015 on a visitor’s visa and was granted conditional residency after marrying a US citizen in 2016. However, in 2022, his application for permanent residency was denied to due to fraud.

ICE says Temah was ordered to appear in immigration court three times, but never did, disregarding US laws, which resulted in an immigration judge ordering him deported in absentia, resulting in his active deportation order.

This is not the first time an illegal alien has been a police department recruit and given an illegal gun.

In October, ICE agents arrested an alleged illegal alien from Montenegro who was a sworn police officer in Hanover Park, Illinois.

Hanover Police later announced they rehired Bojovic.

Bojovic is now an armed police officer after an immigration judge granted him a $2,500 immigration bond two weeks after he was detained.
