Trotz mehrerer Runden bestehen Misstrauen und tiefe Meinungsverschiedenheiten, insbesondere zur Straße von Hormus, dem iranischen Atomprogramm und der Unterstützung von Gruppen wie Hamas und Hisbollah.

Die US-Delegation unter Vizepräsident JD Vance traf auf iranische Vertreter mit Parlamentspräsident Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. Iranische Medien wie Tasnim und Fars berichten von „überzogenen US-Forderungen“, darunter freie Schifffahrt durch die Straße von Hormus – Teheran plant ein Mautsystem. Die USA fordern einen Stopp der Urananreicherung und der Terrorunterstützung.

US-Vizepräsident JD Vance ist abgereist. "Man verlasse den Ort der Verhandlungen und lasse einen Vorschlag für Iran zurück, der ein endgültiges Angebot darstelle", sagte Vance.
